دشّن المشرف العام لفروع المناطق بالمركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر علي بن مليح الأسمري، انطلاق أعمال تقليم أشجار العرعر في عدد من الغابات والمتنزهات الطبيعية بمنطقة عسير، بتنفيذ الجمعيات التعاونية والأهلية، وتحت إشراف مباشر من فرع المركز بالمنطقة.
وأوضح مدير عام فرع المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر بمنطقة عسير المهندس ناصر بن عبدالله الناصر، أن هذه الأعمال تأتي ضمن جهود المركز للحفاظ على الغطاء النباتي وتعزيز استدامته، وتشمل تقليم الفروع الزائدة، وإزالة الأجزاء اليابسة والمتراكمة داخل الأشجار، وفق أسس فنية تضمن صحة الأشجار وتعزز نموها الطبيعي، مع المحافظة على شكلها الجمالي، بما يسهم في تحسين المشهد البيئي في المواقع المستهدفة.
وبيّن الناصر أن الحملة تستهدف عدداً من الغابات والمتنزهات ذات الكثافة النباتية العالية، ويتم تنفيذها وفق خطة مرحلية ومنهجية معتمدة، مع التركيز على المواقع التي تتطلب تدخلاً بيئياً عاجلاً لتحسين حالتها.
وأكد أن فرقاً ميدانية متخصصة من المركز تشرف على تنفيذ الأعمال بشكل مباشر، لضمان التزام الجمعيات المنفذة بالتعليمات الفنية والتنظيمية، وتطبيق أفضل الممارسات في عمليات التقليم، بما يحقق الأهداف البيئية المنشودة، ويعزز من كفاءة الغطاء النباتي الطبيعي في تلك المواقع.
The General Supervisor of Regional Branches at the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, Ali bin Malih Al-Asmari, launched the trimming operations of juniper trees in several forests and natural parks in the Asir region, executed by cooperative and civil associations, under the direct supervision of the center's branch in the region.
The Director General of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification in the Asir region, Engineer Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Nasser, explained that these operations are part of the center's efforts to preserve vegetation cover and enhance its sustainability. They include trimming excess branches and removing dry and accumulated parts inside the trees, based on technical principles that ensure the health of the trees and promote their natural growth while maintaining their aesthetic appearance, contributing to the improvement of the environmental landscape in the targeted locations.
Al-Nasser indicated that the campaign targets several forests and parks with high vegetation density, and it is being implemented according to an approved phased and methodological plan, focusing on locations that require urgent environmental intervention to improve their condition.
He confirmed that specialized field teams from the center supervise the implementation of the work directly to ensure that the executing associations comply with technical and organizational instructions and apply best practices in trimming operations, achieving the desired environmental goals and enhancing the efficiency of natural vegetation cover in those locations.
