شهدت جامعة الإمام عبد الرحمن بن فيصل أمس (الأربعاء) انتخابات الجمعيّة العلميّة السُّعودية للطبِّ النّفسي لاختيار مجلس إدارة الجمعيّة في دورتها الجديدة. وقامت اللجنة الدّائمة لانتخابات الجمعيّات العلميّة بإجراء الانتخابات تحت إشراف وحدة الكراسي والجمعيّات العلميّة التابعة لوكالة الجامعة للبحث العلمي والابتكار بالجامعة وانتهت إلى انتخاب أعضاء مجلس الإدارة الجديد وعددهم 14 عضواً منهم 9 رئيسيين، و5 أعضاء في الاحتياط.
وأوضح القائم بأعمال رئيس الجامعة المكلف الأستاذ الدكتور عبدالواحد بن حمد المزروع بأنّ الجامعة تسعى لأن تكون الجمعيّاتُ العلميّةُ من الرّوافِدِ الدّاعمةِ لتحقيقِ الأهدافِ السَّامِيَةِ للرؤيةِ الوطنيّةِ الطّموحَةِ، وَصَرْحاً من صُرُوحِ البِناءِ؛ ولذا كانت في سُلَّمِ اهتماماتِ الجامعة وأدلّ دلالة على ذلك أنها جعلت لها وَحْدةً قَائِمةً بِذاتِهَا لترْعَى شؤونَهَا، وأصدرت لها لائحةً تنظّم العمليّةَ الانتخابيّةَ فيها، بجانبِ القواعدِ الإجرائيّةِ التي سترَى النّورَ قريباً إنْ شاء اللهُ.
وتطمحُ الجامعةُ في خُطَتِهَا المُستقبليّةِ أنْ تكُونَ الجمعيّاتُ العلميّةُ حاضنةً علميّة وبحثيّةً؛ يَلْتقِي فيهَا أهْلُ التّخصُّصِ؛ لتبادلِ الأفكارِ والرُؤَى حولَ تطبيقِ أهدافِهَا ورؤاهَا في خِدمَةِ التخصُّصِ، والمجْتَمعِ.
وأشاد الأستاذ الدكتور مهدي أبو مديني رئيس الجمعيّة في خطاب الدّورة الذي ألقاه أمام أعضاء الجمعيّة بالجهود الكبيرة التي بذلتها الجمعيّة طوال الفترة السّابقة حتى وصلت إلى ما وصلت إليه من النّجاح، الأمر الذي جعلها من الجمعيّات التي يُشار إليها بالبنان على مستوى المملكة العربية السُّعوديّة والعالم، واستعرض بعض النّجاحات والمكاسب التي حققتها الجمعيّة، وتمنّى للذين ستنتقلُ إليهم الأمانة في مجلس إدارتها الجديد كُلّ توفيق ونجاح.
وفي بداية اللقاء رحب الأستاذ الدكتور جمال نور الدين إدريس مدير وحدة الكراسي والجمعيّات العلميّة - رئيس اللجنة الدائمة لانتخابات الجمعيّات العلميّة بالجامعة بالحضور متمنيّاً للذين نالوا ثقة زملائهم في الجمعيّة النجاح في تحقيق أهدافها، ونقل لهم تحيات رئيس الجامعة المكلّف الأستاذ الدكتور فهد أحمد الحربي الذي تجدُ الجمعيّات عنده الاهتمام الكبير، وما النّجاحات الكبيرة التي تحقّقت فيها إلاّ بمتابعته المستمرة، وخاطب اللقاء عيسى الحربي من الدائرة القانونيّة باللجنة المُنظّمة للانتخابات مبيّناً صحّة الإجراءات وسلامتها من النّاحية القانونيّة والقواعد التي تحكمها متمنيّاً للجمعيّة كُلِّ تقدَّمٍ، وقد جرت العمليّة الانتخابية وانتهت إلى انتخاب أعضاء مجلس الإدارة الجديد وفقاً للآتية أسماؤهم:

The Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University witnessed yesterday (Wednesday) the elections of the Saudi Scientific Society for Psychiatry to select the new board of directors for the association. The Permanent Committee for Scientific Associations Elections conducted the elections under the supervision of the Chairs and Scientific Associations Unit affiliated with the University Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation, resulting in the election of the new board members, totaling 14 members, including 9 principal members and 5 reserve members.
The Acting President of the University, Professor Abdulwahid bin Hamad Al-Mazrou, explained that the university seeks for the scientific associations to be supportive tributaries to achieve the lofty goals of the ambitious national vision, and a pillar of construction; thus, it has been a priority for the university. This is evidenced by the establishment of a dedicated unit to oversee its affairs, and the issuance of a regulation to organize the electoral process within it, alongside procedural rules that will be revealed soon, God willing.
The university aspires in its future plan for the scientific associations to be a scientific and research incubator; where specialists meet to exchange ideas and visions regarding the application of its goals and visions in the service of the specialty and the community.
Professor Mahdi Abu Madini, the president of the association, praised in his speech during the session, delivered before the members of the association, the significant efforts made by the association throughout the previous period, which led to its current success, making it one of the associations that are recognized at both the level of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the world. He reviewed some of the successes and achievements that the association has accomplished and wished all the best and success to those who will take on the responsibility in its new board of directors.
At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Jamal Nour Al-Din Idris, Director of the Chairs and Scientific Associations Unit - Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Scientific Associations Elections at the university, welcomed the attendees, wishing success to those who earned the trust of their colleagues in the association in achieving its goals. He conveyed the greetings of the Acting President of the University, Professor Fahd Ahmed Al-Harbi, who shows great interest in the associations, and the significant successes achieved therein are due to his continuous follow-up. The meeting was addressed by Issa Al-Harbi from the legal department of the organizing committee for the elections, clarifying the correctness and legality of the procedures and the rules governing them, wishing the association all progress. The electoral process took place and concluded with the election of the new board members whose names are as follows:
