وزير «البيئة»: تنظيم مؤسسة الري منحها إدارة المياه المعالجة وتصميم السدود

The Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Irrigation, Engineer Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, confirmed that the organization of the authority, which was approved in the Cabinet session, is a pivotal step in developing its operations. He pointed out that the organization stipulates "that the authority shall manage treated water for various uses (agricultural, industrial, and urban), as it is a complementary part of the water system in the Kingdom, in addition to the responsibility for designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining dams in various regions of the Kingdom, which contributes to supporting water security and diversifying water sources." He highlighted the significant support provided by the leadership to the environment, water, and agriculture system, which has contributed to the development of the water resource management system in the Kingdom and enhanced its capabilities in all fields, in line with the water sustainability targets and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
