ضمن جولته الميدانية، تفقد وزير البلديات والإسكان ماجد بن عبدالله الحقيل، عددًا من المشاريع الاستثمارية بالشراكة مع القطاع الخاص في مدن المنطقة الشرقية، أبرزها: مشروع العثيم سيركل، برج المياه، مشروع باي فرونت على كورنيش الخبر، ومشاريع مخطط أجيال أرامكو في الظهران، ومنها: مول أجيال، فندق أجيال، مركز رزين.
وعلى هامش الزيارة، عقد الوزير لقاء موسعًا مع نخبة من المستثمرين ورجال الأعمال من المملكة وخارجها، مثل الكويت، أسكتلندا، الهند، وتايلند، كما شهد اللقاء حضورا لافتا من مجموعة من المستثمرين الأجانب من أوروبا وآسيا مما يعكس جاذبية الاستثمارات بالمنطقة الشرقية خصوصا والمملكة عموما في ظل رؤية المملكة 2030 التي ساهمت في استقطاب المستثمرين، وقد تم خلال اللقاء استعراض الفرص الواعدة، وسبل تعزيز التعاون، وزيادة جاذبية المنطقة الشرقية كمركز إقليمي للاستثمار.
من جهة أخرى، أشاد وزير البلديات والإسكان خلال زيارته لأمانة المنطقة الشرقية، بما شاهده من مشاريع حضرية واستثمارية نوعية، تدعم جودة الحياة، وتمثل نقلة في إدارة المدن الذكية.
ونوّه إلى أهمية الدور الذي تقوم به الكفاءات الوطنية الشابة في قيادة هذه المشاريع، مؤكدًا أن جودة التنفيذ والتحول الرقمي يعكسان جاهزية الأمانة وتوجهها نحو الاستدامة.
وشملت الزيارة؛ جولة ميدانية على المشاريع القائمة والمواقع الاستثمارية؛ مناقشة التحديات التشغيلية مع الفرق التنفيذية؛ ولقاءات مباشرة مع مستثمرين ومواطنين، والاستماع لملاحظاتهم.
وأكد الوزير في ختام الزيارة أن التكامل بين الوزارة والأمانة والقطاع الخاص هو جوهر النجاح، وأن ما يتحقق اليوم من مشاريع حضرية هو نتاج رؤية وطنية واضحة ودعم قيادي مستمر.
During his field tour, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hoqail inspected a number of investment projects in partnership with the private sector in cities of the Eastern Province, most notably: Al-Othaim Circle project, the Water Tower, the Bayfront project on the Khobar Corniche, and the projects of the Aramco Generations Plan in Dhahran, including: Generations Mall, Generations Hotel, and Razeen Center.
On the sidelines of the visit, the minister held an extensive meeting with a select group of investors and businessmen from the Kingdom and abroad, including Kuwait, Scotland, India, and Thailand. The meeting also witnessed a notable presence of a group of foreign investors from Europe and Asia, reflecting the attractiveness of investments in the Eastern Province in particular and the Kingdom in general under Vision 2030, which has contributed to attracting investors. During the meeting, promising opportunities were showcased, ways to enhance cooperation were discussed, and the attractiveness of the Eastern Province as a regional investment hub was emphasized.
On another note, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing praised during his visit to the Eastern Province Municipality what he observed of quality urban and investment projects that support the quality of life and represent a leap in the management of smart cities.
He highlighted the important role played by young national talents in leading these projects, affirming that the quality of execution and digital transformation reflect the readiness of the municipality and its direction towards sustainability.
The visit included a field tour of existing projects and investment sites; discussions on operational challenges with executive teams; and direct meetings with investors and citizens, listening to their feedback.
At the conclusion of the visit, the minister emphasized that the integration between the ministry, the municipality, and the private sector is the essence of success, and that what is being achieved today in urban projects is the result of a clear national vision and continuous leadership support.
