رفع أمير منطقة نجران الأمير جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد باسم أهالي ومسؤولي المنطقة، وباسمه، عظيم الشكر لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ولولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان -حفظهما الله- بمناسبة إدراج محمية عروق بني معارض ضمن القائمة الخضراء للمناطق المحمية ذات الإدارة الفعالة والمستدامة.
وأكد أمير نجران أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس حجم الدعم اللامحدود الذي تقدمه قيادتنا الرشيدة، لقطاع البيئة والحياة الفطرية، كما يجسد جهود المملكة المستمرة لحماية أنظمتها البيئية الطبيعية، في ظل ما تتميز به من غنى تراثي وتنوع طبيعي في مختلف مناطقها.
وقال الأمير جلوي بن عبدالعزيز: «نفخر بأن تكون نجران موطناً لمحمية تُعد من أغنى البيئات الطبيعية في المنطقة حاضنةً لأكثر من 900 نوع من الكائنات النباتية والحيوانية ومثالاً حيّاً على التوازن بين حماية الإرث البيئي وتمكين المجتمعات المحلية»، مثمناً جهود المركز الوطني لتنمية الحياة الفطرية وسعيه المستمر في تحقيق أهداف مبادرة السعودية الخضراء والإستراتيجية الوطنية للبيئة التي تعكس طموحات رؤية 2030.
The Emir of Najran, Prince Jalwa bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, on behalf of the people and officials of the region, and in his own name, expressed his profound gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may Allah protect them - on the occasion of the inclusion of the Arouq Bani Ma'arid Reserve in the Green List of protected areas with effective and sustainable management.
The Emir of Najran confirmed that this achievement reflects the immense and unlimited support provided by our wise leadership to the environment and wildlife sector, and it embodies the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to protect its natural environmental systems, in light of its rich heritage and natural diversity across various regions.
Prince Jalwa bin Abdulaziz stated: "We take pride in having Najran as the home of a reserve considered one of the richest natural environments in the region, hosting more than 900 species of plant and animal life and serving as a living example of the balance between protecting environmental heritage and empowering local communities," appreciating the efforts of the National Center for Wildlife Development and its continuous pursuit to achieve the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative and the National Environmental Strategy that reflect the aspirations of Vision 2030.
