أعلنت الأمم المتحدة اختيار السعودية، ممثلةً بالهيئة العامة للإحصاء، عضواً في المجموعة رفيعة المستوى للشراكة والتنسيق وبناء القدرات في مجال الإحصاءات لأجندة التنمية المستدامة 2030 «HLG-PCCB». ويأتي الإعلان تأكيداً على جهود المملكة في تطوير منظومة إحصائية متقدمة، ترتكز على الابتكار والجودة والانفتاح، وانعكاساً لالتزام المملكة بمواصلة دورها في تعزيز الشفافية وتوفير الإحصاءات الدقيقة لدعم السياسات التنموية وفق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
وتُعد هذه المجموعة إحدى اللجان عالية المستوى، التي تعمل تحت مظلة الأمم المتحدة، وتضطلع بدور محوري في قيادة وتنسيق الجهود العالمية المتعلقة بمتابعة تنفيذ أهداف التنمية المستدامة، من خلال تطوير القدرات الإحصائية الوطنية وتعزيز الشراكات الدولية، ومتابعة الاستعداد لأعمال منتدى الأمم المتحدة العالمي للبيانات «UNWDF»، وتطوير إستراتيجيات البيانات الإحصائية العالمية، وتقديم التوصيات لتعزيز الاستثمارات المالية في البنية التحتية الإحصائية وتحفيز الابتكار، والعمل على استدامة الأنظمة الإحصائية لضمان استمرار إنتاج الإحصاءات بشكل متسق ودقيق على المدى الطويل.
وستُسهم عضوية المملكة في دعم التعاون الدولي وتعزيز تبادل الخبرات مع الدول الأعضاء، وتفعيل شراكات جديدة مع المنظمات الدولية والمكاتب الإحصائية الوطنية حول العالم، وتدعم جهود المملكة في تطوير منظومة إحصائية متقدمة، ترتكز على الابتكار والجودة والانفتاح، والتزامها بمواصلة دورها في تعزيز الشفافية وتوفير الإحصاءات الدقيقة لدعم السياسات التنموية وفق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
يشار إلى أن الاجتماع الـ39 الذي عقدته المجموعة، شارك فيه رئيس الهيئة العامة للإحصاء الدكتور فهد عبدالله الدوسري، مرحباً باستضافة المملكة اجتماع المجموعة رفيعة المستوى خلال شهر نوفمبر القادم، كما استعرض الاجتماع تحضيرات المملكة المتعلقة باستضافة منتدى الأمم المتحدة العالمي للبيانات «UNWDF» المقرر عقده في الرياض خلال شهر نوفمبر 2026.
The United Nations announced the selection of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Statistics, as a member of the High-Level Group for Partnership, Coordination, and Capacity-Building in Statistics for the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda “HLG-PCCB.” This announcement reaffirms the Kingdom's efforts in developing an advanced statistical system based on innovation, quality, and openness, and reflects the Kingdom's commitment to continuing its role in enhancing transparency and providing accurate statistics to support developmental policies in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
This group is one of the high-level committees operating under the umbrella of the United Nations, playing a pivotal role in leading and coordinating global efforts related to monitoring the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, through the development of national statistical capacities and the enhancement of international partnerships, monitoring preparations for the United Nations World Data Forum “UNWDF,” developing global statistical data strategies, and providing recommendations to enhance financial investments in statistical infrastructure, stimulate innovation, and ensure the sustainability of statistical systems to guarantee the consistent and accurate production of statistics in the long term.
The Kingdom's membership will contribute to supporting international cooperation and enhancing the exchange of experiences with member countries, activating new partnerships with international organizations and national statistical offices around the world, and supporting the Kingdom's efforts in developing an advanced statistical system based on innovation, quality, and openness, as well as its commitment to continuing its role in enhancing transparency and providing accurate statistics to support developmental policies in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that the 39th meeting held by the group was attended by the President of the General Authority for Statistics, Dr. Fahd Abdullah Al-Dosari, who welcomed the Kingdom's hosting of the high-level group meeting in the upcoming month of November. The meeting also reviewed the Kingdom's preparations related to hosting the United Nations World Data Forum “UNWDF” scheduled to be held in Riyadh in November 2026.
