وجه أمير منطقة الرياض الأمير فيصل بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز، بتسمية إحدى حدائق مدينة الرياض باسم عبدالله العلي النعيم ـرحمه الله، وذلك تكريماً لإسهاماته عندما كان أميناً للعاصمة، ولما قدمه لها.
وتمثل التسمية اهتماماً من أمير منطقة الرياض، ووفاءً للإنجازات التي حققها النعيم ـ رحمه الله، حيث كان له دور محوري في النهوض بالمشهد الحضري لمدينة الرياض، وأسهم في تنفيذ مشاريع ومبادرات رفعت جودة البنية التحتية، وأضفت طابعاً حضرياً حديثاً على العاصمة طوال خدمته أميناً للعاصمة من عام (1396)هـ (1976م) إلى عام (1411هـ) (1991م).
وتأتي مبادرة التسمية لدمج الرمز المعنوي لشخصية الأمين الأسبق مع فضاء عام مفتوح يخدم المجتمع، ما يُضفي بُعداً إنسانياً وحضرياً يعزز الذاكرة المؤسسية للمدينة، لحمل اسم شخصية أسهمت في نهضة الرياض وتقدمها.
The Prince of the Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, has directed that one of the parks in the city of Riyadh be named after Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Nuaim — may he rest in peace — in honor of his contributions when he served as the Secretary of the Capital and for what he provided to it.
This naming reflects the interest of the Prince of the Riyadh Region and is a tribute to the achievements of Al-Nuaim — may he rest in peace — as he played a pivotal role in advancing the urban landscape of the city of Riyadh. He contributed to the implementation of projects and initiatives that enhanced the quality of infrastructure and added a modern urban character to the capital throughout his service as Secretary of the Capital from the year 1396 AH (1976 AD) to the year 1411 AH (1991 AD).
The initiative to name the park aims to integrate the symbolic legacy of the former Secretary with an open public space that serves the community, adding a human and urban dimension that enhances the institutional memory of the city, carrying the name of a figure who contributed to the renaissance and progress of Riyadh.
