كشفت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء أن حصة الاقتصاد الرقمي من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي حققت ارتفاعاً بلغ 15.6%، بزيادةٍ نسبتها 1.6% مقارنة بعام 2022، وذلك وفقاً لنتائج نشرة إحصاءات الاقتصاد الرقمي لعام 2023، التي أصدرتها اليوم.
وأوضحت النشرة أن واردات سلع تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات سجَّلت نمواً ملحوظاً بـ54.9 مليار ريال في عام 2023 مقارنة بعام 2022، حيث كانت 45.8 مليار ريال، بمعدل نمو بلغ 19.9%.
وفي المقابل، حققت الصادرات والسلع المعاد تصديرها لذات التقنيات نمواً بلغ قدره 76.1%، حيث ارتفعت من 6.7 مليار ريال إلى 11.8 مليار ريال خلال الفترة نفسها.
وأظهرت النشرة أن نسبة المنشآت التي تستخدم أجهزة أو أنظمة ذكية مرتبطة بالإنترنت بلغت 71.6% من إجمالي المنشآت المتصلة بالإنترنت، ومن أبرز تلك التقنيات: أنظمة الإنذار الذكية، والعدادات الذكية، والمصابيح، وكاميرات المراقبة الذكية.
وفي ما يتعلق بالجوانب المالية للقطاع، بلغت الإيرادات التشغيلية لقطاع تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات في عام 2023 نحو 236.4 مليار ريال، مقابل نفقات تشغيلية بلغت 115.4 مليار ريال، كما بلغت تعويضات المشتغلين في هذا القطاع 27.5 مليار ريال.
وبحسب مستويات الاقتصاد الرقمي فإن مساهمة المستوى الأساس من الاقتصاد الرقمي بلغت 2.6%، الذي يشمل: الأنشطة المنتجة لسلع وخدمات تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات، في حين أن مساهمة المستوى الضيق بلغت 2.3%، الذي يشمل: المنشآت التي تعتمد على المدخلات الرقمية، بينما بلغت نسبة مساهمة المستوى الواسع 10.7%، الذي يشمل: المنشآت التي تُحسن منتجاتها وخدماتها بشكل كبير باستخدام المدخلات الرقمية.
يذكر أن هذا المسح يستند إلى المعايير الدولية الواردة في دليل إنتاج الإحصاءات في الاقتصاد الرقمي الصادر عن مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية (UNCTAD)، بما يضمن قابلية المقارنة الدولية للمؤشرات الصادرة عن المملكة.
The General Authority for Statistics revealed that the share of the digital economy in the gross domestic product has risen to 15.6%, an increase of 1.6% compared to 2022, according to the results of the Digital Economy Statistics Bulletin for 2023, which was issued today.
The bulletin indicated that imports of information and communication technology goods recorded significant growth of 54.9 billion riyals in 2023 compared to 2022, where they were 45.8 billion riyals, with a growth rate of 19.9%.
In contrast, exports and re-exports of the same technologies achieved a growth of 76.1%, rising from 6.7 billion riyals to 11.8 billion riyals during the same period.
The bulletin showed that the percentage of establishments using smart devices or systems connected to the internet reached 71.6% of the total establishments connected to the internet, with notable technologies including: smart alarm systems, smart meters, smart lights, and smart surveillance cameras.
Regarding the financial aspects of the sector, the operating revenues of the information and communication technology sector in 2023 amounted to approximately 236.4 billion riyals, compared to operating expenses of 115.4 billion riyals, while the compensation for employees in this sector reached 27.5 billion riyals.
According to the levels of the digital economy, the contribution of the basic level of the digital economy reached 2.6%, which includes: activities producing information and communication technology goods and services, while the contribution of the narrow level reached 2.3%, which includes: establishments relying on digital inputs, whereas the contribution of the broad level was 10.7%, which includes: establishments that significantly enhance their products and services using digital inputs.
It is worth noting that this survey is based on international standards outlined in the Guide to Producing Statistics in the Digital Economy issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), ensuring the international comparability of the indicators issued by the Kingdom.
