احتفلت وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة بفعاليات اليوم العالمي للنحل في منطقة جازان، بحضور لافت من المختصين والمهتمين بتربية النحل وإنتاج العسل.
تأتي هذه الفعاليات ضمن جهود الوزارة المتواصلة لدعم هذا القطاع الحيوي الذي يُعد ركيزة أساسية في تعزيز الأمن الغذائي بالمملكة.
وشهدت الفعاليات معرضاً مصاحباً وعرضاً مرئياً سلط الضوء على الإنجازات الكبيرة للوزارة في دعم قطاع تربية النحل. من أبرز هذه الإنجازات تقديم دعم مباشر تجاوز 190 مليون ريال سنوياً لأكثر من 25 ألف نحال ونحالة في جميع أنحاء المملكة. كما تضمنت جهود الوزارة إنشاء 7 محطات متخصصة لتربية ملكات النحل، وإدارة 8 عيادات متنقلة لتشخيص أمراض وآفات النحل، إضافة إلى تدريب أكثر من 1000 شاب وفتاة على أسس تربية النحل وسبل تسويق منتجاته باحترافية.
وأوضح نائب مدير عام فرع الوزارة بمنطقة جازان المهندس سامي بن أحمد حكمي، أن اليوم العالمي للنحل يمثل فرصة مهمة لتسليط الضوء على أهمية قطاع النحل ودوره المحوري في حماية التنوع البيولوجي ودعم الاقتصاد الوطني. وأشار إلى أن منطقة جازان تتمتع بمقومات طبيعية فريدة تجعلها بيئة مثالية لإنتاج العسل، مما يعزز من مكانتها كمصدر متميز لهذا المنتج الوطني.
وأكد أن الوزارة تعمل وفق خطط تطويرية طموحة تسعى إلى تحقيق الريادة في هذا المجال، ودعم كافة الجهود الرامية لتطوير قطاع تربية النحل وتحقيق التنمية البيئية والاقتصادية المستدامة.
The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture celebrated the World Bee Day events in the Jazan region, with notable attendance from specialists and enthusiasts in beekeeping and honey production.
These events are part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to support this vital sector, which is considered a fundamental pillar in enhancing food security in the Kingdom.
The events featured a accompanying exhibition and a visual presentation that highlighted the ministry's significant achievements in supporting the beekeeping sector. Among these achievements is the provision of direct support exceeding 190 million riyals annually to more than 25,000 beekeepers across the Kingdom. The ministry's efforts also included the establishment of 7 specialized stations for breeding queen bees, managing 8 mobile clinics for diagnosing bee diseases and pests, in addition to training over 1,000 young men and women on the fundamentals of beekeeping and ways to market its products professionally.
The Deputy Director General of the ministry's branch in the Jazan region, Engineer Sami bin Ahmed Hakami, explained that World Bee Day represents an important opportunity to highlight the significance of the beekeeping sector and its pivotal role in protecting biodiversity and supporting the national economy. He pointed out that the Jazan region enjoys unique natural features that make it an ideal environment for honey production, enhancing its status as a distinguished source of this national product.
He confirmed that the ministry is working according to ambitious developmental plans aimed at achieving leadership in this field and supporting all efforts aimed at developing the beekeeping sector and achieving sustainable environmental and economic development.
