Under the guidance of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of the Makkah Region, Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Emir of the region, Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, today inspected the holy sites to assess their readiness for the Hajj season of 1446 AH, accompanied by a number of officials from relevant authorities.

He began his tour by visiting the sorting point at the Al-Shumaisi Center, where he listened to an explanation about the role of the Special Forces for Road Security in the center and the security measures implemented to facilitate the entry of pilgrims to Makkah, as well as the mechanism for controlling violators and preventing them from entering. The center includes (16) lanes equipped with the latest smart technologies, administrative offices for road security, a building designated for (10) government entities, and accommodations for workers. The point contributes to facilitating vehicle movement and easing the arrival of those coming to Makkah during the seasons.

He visited the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in the holy capital and listened to an explanation from the commander of the National Security Operations Center, Colonel Omar bin Aida Al-Talhi, about the center's missions and its role in providing security and humanitarian services to citizens, residents, and visitors.

He reviewed the workflow in the center, which includes 47 operations rooms, and the mechanism for receiving, classifying, and transferring reports to the relevant authorities in record time, using the latest technological means, within a unified platform that enhances response speed and coordination efficiency among entities, ensuring the safety and security of the guests of Allah.

He followed the mechanism for receiving calls from pilgrims in several languages around the clock and reviewed the security monitoring room that broadcasts live from the provinces of the region and the holy sites, in addition to inspecting the crisis and disaster management hall and its role in dealing with emergencies during the Hajj season.

At the Arafat site, the Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region reviewed several projects being implemented by the "Kadanah" company in preparation for the Hajj season, including a project to mitigate the effects of heat stress around the Nimra Mosque, covering an area estimated at (85,000) square meters. This project aims to provide a more comfortable and safe environment for pilgrims on the Day of Arafah by planting more than (2,000) trees, constructing (320) canopies, and installing (350) mist fans, along with a complete infrastructure for water and electricity networks.

He also inspected the shading project for the paths in the Arafat site, executed over an area of 60,000 square meters, aimed at cooling the atmosphere and providing comfort for pilgrims.

At the Muzdalifah site, the Deputy Emir of the region inspected the pedestrian path project that extends over an area of (170,000) square meters, featuring rubber flooring and the planting of (20,000) trees, contributing to enhancing service quality and improving safety for the comfort of pilgrims.

He reviewed the project for the launch centers for first aid, which includes 71 locations distributed along the pedestrian paths in Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat, to provide first aid and urgent logistical support to pilgrims.

He concluded his inspection tour by reviewing the project for establishing an emergency hospital in Mina, which is being built over an area of (5,300) square meters and includes more than (180) beds, enhancing the capacity for emergency healthcare in the holy sites during the Hajj season.
