أعلنت الهيئة السعودية للمياه، إطلاق مبادرة تحفيزية لتشجيع «المرتفقين» بخدمات المياه والصرف الصحي -بطريقة غير نظامية- على التقدم لشركة المياه الوطنية، بطلب تصحيح سجلات وبيانات توصيلاتهم خلال ثلاثة أشهر تنتهي في يوم الإثنين 18 أغسطس القادم.
وأوضحت أنها بالتعاون مع شركة المياه الوطنية رصدت تعديات على الشبكة العامة لخدمات المياه والصرف وقيام أشخاص بالتعاون مع عمالة بتنفيذ توصيلات إلى عقاراتهم بطريقة غير نظامية، والاستفادة من الخدمات دون تسجيلها وفوترتها ودفع المقابل المالي المستحق لها.
وقالت الهيئة إن الاستفادة من المبادرة تُعفي المخالف من الغرامات والمقابل المالي، كما أن التعدي على شبكات المياه والصرف الصحي يؤثر على ضمان التوزيع العادل للمياه، أو الانتفاع بالخدمة، ويؤثر على مستوى ضخ المياه، ويؤدي إلى طفوحات مياه الصرف ما يضر بالصحة العامة والبيئة.
وأكدت الهيئة أنها ستطبق النظام عند رصد أي توصيلة غير نظامية بعد المهلة المحددة، وضبط مخالفة التوصيل بطريقة غير نظامية، التي توجب العقوبة بغرامات تصل إلى 20 مليون ريال.
ودعت الهيئة المخالفين إلى الإسراع في تصحيح أوضاع ارتفاقهم بالخدمات، مؤكدةً أن شركة المياه الوطنية ستساعدهم على تصحيح الارتفاق بالخدمات من خلال قنواتها الرسمية.

The Saudi Water Authority announced the launch of an incentive initiative to encourage "users" of water and sewage services—who are connected in an irregular manner—to approach the National Water Company with a request to correct their records and connection data within three months, ending on Monday, August 18.
It clarified that, in cooperation with the National Water Company, it has detected violations on the public network for water and sewage services, with individuals collaborating with workers to implement connections to their properties in an irregular manner, benefiting from the services without registering and billing them or paying the due financial fees.
The Authority stated that benefiting from the initiative exempts violators from fines and financial charges. It also emphasized that violations of water and sewage networks affect the equitable distribution of water, the enjoyment of the service, and the level of water pumping, leading to sewage overflow, which harms public health and the environment.
The Authority confirmed that it will enforce the regulations upon detecting any irregular connections after the specified deadline, and will impose penalties for irregular connections, which can reach fines of up to 20 million riyals.
The Authority urged violators to quickly correct their service connections, affirming that the National Water Company will assist them in rectifying their service connections through its official channels.
