جدد وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية عادل الجبير، التأكيد على رفض السعودية تهجير الفلسطينيين «تحت أي ظرف»، مؤكداً أن المملكة تدعم إقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة وذات سيادة.
وقال الجبير في كلمة السعودية أمام القمة العربية الـ34 في بغداد، إن «الظروف الاستثنائية التي تمر بها القضية الفلسطينية تتطلب مواصلة جهودنا المشتركة لرفع المعاناة الإنسانية التي يتعرض لها الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق، ووقف الجرائم والانتهاكات، التي ترتكبها سلطات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية وتمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً لميثاق الأمم المتحدة والقوانين والقرارات والأعراف الدولية».
وأفاد بأن المملكة تشدد على ضرورة استدامة وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، وتؤكد الرفض القاطع لأي محاولات للتهجير القسري أو فرض حلول لا تحقق تطلعات الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق إلى نيل حقوقه المشروعة في تقرير مصيره، وفي مقدمتها إقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وشدد على رفض المملكة للاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على الأراضي السورية، مجدداً التأكيد على أهمية دعم الحكومة السورية في مواجهة التحديات الأمنية وتكثيف الجهود العربية للتصدي لأي محاولات من شأنها زعزعة أمن سورية واستقرارها، مشيداً بالقرار الذي أعلنه الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب خلال زيارته إلى المملكة برفع العقوبات عن سورية، مؤكداً أنه «فرصة عظيمة لبناء التعافي ودعم التنمية وإعادة الإعمار والازدهار».
وقال الجبير إن السعودية مستمرة في عملها الدؤوب تجاه الأشقاء في السودان، مؤكداً أهمية مواصلة الحوار بين أطراف النزاع وصولاً إلى وقف كامل لإطلاق النار وإنهاء الأزمة ورفع المعاناة عن الشعب السوداني وتسهيل وصول المساعدات الإنسانية والمحافظة على سيادة السودان ووحدته واستقراره وسلامة مؤسساته.
وأعلن أن المملكة ستواصل جهودها لتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في اليمن ودعم العملية السياسية للتوصل إلى اتفاق يمني لإنهاء الأزمة، مجدداً التأكيد على أهمية أمن الممرات البحرية وسلامتها وحرية الملاحة فيها، «والتي تعد مطلباً دولياً لتعلقها بمصالح العالم أجمع».
وقال الجبير إن المملكة تدعم الجهود التي يقوم بها الرئيس اللبناني لإصلاح المؤسسات وحصر السلاح في يد الدولة، معبراً عن أمله أن تحقق الحكومة اللبنانية تطلعات الشعب اللبناني، والمحافظة على أمن لبنان واستقرار ووحدة أراضيه.
وتحدث وزير الشؤون الخارجية عن ضرورة تعزيز وتوسيع العمل العربي المشترك ومواصلة مسيرة التطور والتنمية بما يخدم مصالحنا ويحقق تطلعات شعوبنا نحو مستقبل مزدهر وآمن.
Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir reiterated Saudi Arabia's rejection of the displacement of Palestinians "under any circumstances," affirming that the Kingdom supports the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
In his speech on behalf of Saudi Arabia at the 34th Arab Summit in Baghdad, al-Jubeir stated that "the exceptional circumstances surrounding the Palestinian cause require us to continue our joint efforts to alleviate the humanitarian suffering faced by the Palestinian brotherly people, and to stop the crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities, which represent a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international laws, resolutions, and norms."
He noted that the Kingdom emphasizes the necessity of sustaining the ceasefire in Gaza and firmly rejects any attempts at forced displacement or imposing solutions that do not meet the aspirations of the Palestinian brotherly people to achieve their legitimate rights in self-determination, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He stressed the Kingdom's rejection of Israeli assaults on Syrian territory, reiterating the importance of supporting the Syrian government in facing security challenges and intensifying Arab efforts to counter any attempts that could destabilize Syria's security and stability. He praised the decision announced by U.S. President Donald Trump during his visit to the Kingdom to lift sanctions on Syria, affirming that it is "a great opportunity to build recovery, support development, and reconstruction and prosperity."
Al-Jubeir stated that Saudi Arabia continues its diligent work towards its brothers in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of continuing dialogue among the conflicting parties to achieve a complete ceasefire, end the crisis, alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people, facilitate humanitarian aid, and maintain Sudan's sovereignty, unity, stability, and the integrity of its institutions.
He announced that the Kingdom will continue its efforts to achieve security and stability in Yemen and support the political process to reach a Yemeni agreement to end the crisis, reiterating the importance of the security and safety of maritime corridors and freedom of navigation in them, "which is an international demand due to its relation to the interests of the entire world."
Al-Jubeir stated that the Kingdom supports the efforts made by the Lebanese president to reform institutions and confine weapons to the hands of the state, expressing hope that the Lebanese government will meet the aspirations of the Lebanese people and maintain Lebanon's security, stability, and territorial unity.
The Foreign Minister spoke about the necessity of enhancing and expanding joint Arab work and continuing the path of development and progress in a way that serves our interests and fulfills the aspirations of our peoples towards a prosperous and secure future.
