واصلت أمانة المنطقة الشرقية تنفيذ سلسلة من المشاريع التنموية والتطويرية في عدد من المدن والمحافظات، ضمن جهودها الرامية إلى تحسين جودة الحياة، ورفع كفاءة البنية التحتية، وتعزيز السلامة المرورية، إلى جانب دعم مستهدفات مبادرة (السعودية الخضراء).
وأنجزت الأمانة المرحلة الأولى من مشروع صيانة ورفع كفاءة طريق الخوارزمي بمدينة الدمام، الممتد من تقاطع طريق أبي بكر الصديق باتجاه طريق أبو حدرية بطول 1650 متراً، بما يسهم في تحسين انسيابية الحركة المرورية ورفع جودة التنقل داخل المدينة.
وشملت أعمال المشروع الإزالة الكاملة للطريق، وإنشاء مصائد لتصريف مياه الأمطار، وتنفيذ أعمال سفلتة على مساحة تجاوزت 22 ألف متر مربع، إضافة إلى الدهانات والعلامات الأرضية الحرارية التي تعزز وضوح المسارات وترفع مستويات السلامة لمستخدمي الطريق.
وفي محافظة النعيرية، أعادت الأمانة تأهيل وسفلتة المدخل الغربي للمحافظة على طريق الدمام - حفر الباطن، على مساحة إجمالية بلغت 82 ألف متر مربع وبامتداد 3500 متر طولي على جانبي الطريق، ضمن خطط تطوير شبكة الطرق والمحاور الرئيسة وتحسين كفاءتها التشغيلية.
وتضمنت الأعمال كشط الطبقات الإسفلتية المتضررة وتهيئة المواقع المستهدفة وتنفيذ أعمال السفلتة وفق المعايير الفنية المعتمدة، بما يدعم انسيابية الحركة المرورية ويواكب النمو العمراني والسكاني الذي تشهده المحافظة.
وفي الجانب البيئي، أنجزت الأمانة أعمال تشجير طريق الأمير متعب بمدينة الدمام، عبر زراعة أكثر من 300 شجرة متنوعة، من بينها أشجار (فيكس لسان العصفور) و(اللبخ)، إلى جانب مغطيات التربة؛ بهدف تعزيز الغطاء النباتي وتحسين المشهد الحضري ورفع جودة البيئة الحضرية.
وأكدت الأمانة أن هذه المشاريع تأتي ضمن خططها المستمرة لتطوير المدن وتحسين المشهد الحضري، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030، ويسهم في توفير بيئة أكثر استدامة وجودة للسكان والزوار.
The Eastern Province Municipality continued to implement a series of developmental and improvement projects in several cities and governorates, as part of its efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of life, improving the efficiency of infrastructure, and promoting traffic safety, in addition to supporting the objectives of the Green Saudi Initiative.
The municipality has completed the first phase of the maintenance and efficiency enhancement project for Al-Khwarizmi Road in Dammam, extending from the intersection of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road towards Abu Hadriah Road over a length of 1,650 meters, which contributes to improving the flow of traffic and enhancing the quality of mobility within the city.
The project works included the complete removal of the road, the creation of drainage basins for rainwater, and the execution of asphalt works over an area exceeding 22,000 square meters, in addition to the thermal paints and ground markings that enhance the clarity of the lanes and raise safety levels for road users.
In Al-Nairiyah Governorate, the municipality rehabilitated and asphalted the western entrance to the governorate on the Dammam - Hafr Al-Batin Road, covering a total area of 82,000 square meters and extending 3,500 linear meters on both sides of the road, as part of plans to develop the road network and main corridors and improve their operational efficiency.
The works included scraping the damaged asphalt layers, preparing the targeted sites, and executing the asphalt works according to the approved technical standards, which supports the flow of traffic and keeps pace with the urban and population growth witnessed by the governorate.
On the environmental side, the municipality completed the tree planting works along Prince Muteb Road in Dammam, by planting more than 300 diverse trees, including (Ficus macrophylla) and (Ficus elastica), along with ground cover plants; aimed at enhancing vegetation cover, improving the urban landscape, and raising the quality of the urban environment.
The municipality confirmed that these projects are part of its ongoing plans to develop cities and improve the urban landscape, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and contribute to providing a more sustainable and quality environment for residents and visitors.
