بحث وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، مع عدد من نظرائه، العلاقات الثنائية ومستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية، والجهود المبذولة لتعزيز أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، وذلك خلال لقاءات عقدها على هامش اجتماع وزراء خارجية دول مجموعة العشرين (G20)، المنعقد في مدينة أتلانتا الأمريكية.
والتقى الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو، إذ استعرض الجانبان العلاقات الإستراتيجية بين البلدين، وسبل تطوير التعاون المشترك في المجالات ذات الأولوية، إلى جانب تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن القضايا الإقليمية الراهنة والتحديات التي تشهدها المنطقة.
توقيع عقد مشاركة أمريكا في معرض إكسبو 2030
وعقب اللقاء، وقّع الجانبان عقد مشاركة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في معرض إكسبو الدولي 2030 الرياض بصفة «مشارك رسمي»، بما يتيح إطاراً رسمياً للمضي قدماً في الاستعدادات للمشاركة، ويجسد حرص إكسبو 2030 الرياض على تعزيز التعاون الدولي والشراكات مع الدول المشاركة.
كما التقى وزير الخارجية نظيره الروسي سيرجي لافروف، واستعرضا العلاقات الثنائية، وناقشا أبرز المستجدات الإقليمية، وفي مقدمتها التصعيد في اليمن، واستمرار التهديدات التي تواجه حركة الملاحة في مضيقي هرمز وباب المندب، والجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز أمن المنطقة وترسيخ استقرارها.
وبحث الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، مع الممثلة العليا للاتحاد الأوروبي للشؤون الخارجية والسياسة الأمنية، نائبة رئيس المفوضية الأوروبية كايا كالاس، مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية، وأكد الجانبان أهمية تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وفي لقاء آخر، بحث وزير الخارجية مع وزيرة الخارجية الكندية أنيتا أناند، العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، وآخر تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة، وأدان الجانبان الاعتداءات المستمرة لميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية على المملكة، مؤكدين أهمية تكثيف الجهود لتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in regional and international situations, as well as the efforts made to enhance the security and stability of the region, during meetings held on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta, USA.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where both sides reviewed the strategic relations between the two countries and ways to develop joint cooperation in priority areas, in addition to exchanging views on current regional issues and the challenges facing the region.
Signing the Contract for U.S. Participation in Expo 2030
Following the meeting, both sides signed a contract for the United States' participation in the 2030 Riyadh International Expo as an "official participant," which provides a formal framework to move forward with preparations for participation and reflects Expo 2030 Riyadh's commitment to enhancing international cooperation and partnerships with participating countries.
The Foreign Minister also met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, where they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the most significant regional developments, particularly the escalation in Yemen, the ongoing threats to navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, and efforts aimed at enhancing the security and stability of the region.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, the latest developments in regional and international situations, emphasizing the importance of achieving security and stability in the region.
In another meeting, the Foreign Minister discussed bilateral relations with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, the latest developments in the region, and both condemned the ongoing attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia on the Kingdom, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.
