التقى وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، بمدينة نيويورك، رئيس مجلس الوزراء في لبنان نواف سلام، وذلك على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الحادية والثمانين.
وجرى خلال اللقاء استعراض العلاقات الثنائية وسبل تعزيزها وتنميتها في مختلف المجالات، إضافة إلى بحث المستجدات في المنطقة، وتثمين الجهود التي تبذلها الحكومة اللبنانية للحفاظ على الدولة اللبنانية ومؤسساتها الوطنية، بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.
كما جرى خلال اللقاء الاتفاق على بدء العمل على تفعيل اللجنة السعودية اللبنانية المشتركة، التي تهدف إلى رفع مستوى التعاون والتنسيق بين البلدين الشقيقين.
حضر اللقاء مستشار وزير الخارجية للشأن اللبناني الأمير يزيد بن محمد بن فهد بن فرحان.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met in New York with the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Nawaf Salam, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the region and appreciating the efforts made by the Lebanese government to maintain the Lebanese state and its national institutions, which contributes to strengthening regional security and stability.
They also agreed during the meeting to start working on activating the Saudi-Lebanese Joint Committee, which aims to elevate the level of cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Advisor for Lebanese Affairs, Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Farhan.
