أكد مدير الإدارة العامة للإعلام والاتصال المؤسسي المتحدث الأمني لوزارة الداخلية العميد طلال بن عبدالمحسن بن شلهوب، أن الوزارة بدعم وتوجيه من وزير الداخلية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، تعمل بالتكامل مع منظومة الإعلام في المملكة على تعزيز الوعي الأمني والحد من انتشار الشائعات.
وأوضح العميد طلال بن شلهوب أن الأمن هو بناء المجتمع وأساس الحياة، والعلاقة بين القطاعات الأمنية ووسائل الإعلام تقوم على التكامل والعمل المشترك، وليس التنافس.
وأضاف خلال مشاركته في أعمال مؤتمر «حوار الأمن والتاريخ 2026»، أن العمل الإعلامي الأمني يواكب العمل الميداني في تعزيز الأمن والسلامة، وأن أعمال وزارة الداخلية تلامس مختلف أطياف المجتمع.
وبيّن أن العمل الإعلامي الأمني لا يقل أهمية عن العمل الميداني، من خلال إيصال الرسالة الأمنية إلى الجمهور على مدار الساعة، مؤكداً أن الدقة أساس في العمل الإعلامي، مع سرعة إيصال المعلومة.
وأشار إلى أن المواطن هو رجل الأمن الأول، والثقة بالمواطن تمثل ركيزة أساسية في تعزيز الأمن المجتمعي، إذ إن المجتمع السعودي يقوم على الثقة المتبادلة بين أفراده والقيادة الرشيدة، داعياً إلى عدم تداول المقاطع التي قد تسيء إلى المجتمع أو تسهم في إثارة الرأي العام.
وشدد العميد طلال بن شلهوب على أهمية المسؤولية في التعامل مع المحتوى الأمني، وعدم معالجة الجريمة بجريمة، حاثاً المواطنين والمقيمين على الإبلاغ عن أي حالات أمنية عبر الاتصال بالرقم (911) في مناطق مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة والرياض والشرقية، مؤكداً أن جميع البلاغات تعامل بسرية تامة دون أدنى مسؤولية على المبلّغ.
The Director of the General Administration for Media and Institutional Communication and the Security Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Talal bin Abdul Mohsen bin Shalhoub, confirmed that the ministry, with the support and guidance of the Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, is working in coordination with the media system in the Kingdom to enhance security awareness and reduce the spread of rumors.
Brigadier Talal bin Shalhoub explained that security is the foundation of society and the basis of life, and the relationship between security sectors and media outlets is based on integration and joint work, not competition.
He added during his participation in the "Security and History Dialogue 2026" conference that security media work complements fieldwork in enhancing security and safety, and that the activities of the Ministry of Interior touch various segments of society.
He indicated that security media work is no less important than fieldwork, as it conveys the security message to the public around the clock, emphasizing that accuracy is fundamental in media work, along with the speed of delivering information.
He pointed out that the citizen is the first security man, and trust in the citizen represents a fundamental pillar in enhancing community security, as Saudi society is based on mutual trust between its individuals and wise leadership, calling for refraining from circulating clips that may harm society or contribute to stirring public opinion.
Brigadier Talal bin Shalhoub stressed the importance of responsibility in dealing with security content, and not addressing crime with crime, urging citizens and residents to report any security cases by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, confirming that all reports are handled with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
