حقّقت الطالبة السعودية جنى صالح عبدالله السبيل، الميدالية الذهبية، وفازت بجائزة «أفضل طالبة» في النسخة الثالثة من أولمبياد العلوم النووية الدولي 2026، المقدّمة من الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، تقديراً لتميّزها العلمي وأدائها في منافسات الأولمبياد.
وجاء منح الجائزة ضمن الجوائز الخاصة التي أقرها المجلس الدولي للأولمبياد لتكريم الطالبات المتميّزات علمياً، وإبراز إسهاماتهن في مجالات العلوم النووية، وتشجيع مشاركتهن في التخصصات العلمية الدقيقة.
وتصدّرت المملكة نتائج النسخة الثالثة من الأولمبياد محققة المركز الأول، بعد أن توّج الطالب أمجد محمود آل درويش بالميدالية الذهبية ولقب «سفير العلوم النووية»، إثر تحقيقه أعلى مجموع في الاختبارين النظري والعملي، فيما حصل الطالب عبدالعزيز عبدالمحسن الشريط، على الميدالية الفضية، والطالب صالح مبارك ضيف الله الحربي على الميدالية البرونزية.
وشهد الأولمبياد منح 8 ميداليات ذهبية و13 فضية و18 برونزية، إلى جانب عدد من الجوائز الخاصة.
واستضافت المملكة منافسات الأولمبياد في مدينة جدة خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 9 أغسطس الجاري، بمشاركة 120 طالباً ومختصاً علمياً يمثلون 19 دولة، وتنظيم مشترك بين وزارة التعليم، ومؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله للموهبة والإبداع (موهبة)، ومدينة الملك عبدالله للطاقة الذرية والمتجدّدة، فيما احتضنت جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز منافساته وفعالياته.
The Saudi student Juna Saleh Abdullah Al-Sabeel has won the gold medal and the "Best Student" award in the third edition of the International Nuclear Science Olympiad 2026, presented by the International Atomic Energy Agency, in recognition of her scientific excellence and performance in the Olympiad competitions.
The award was part of the special awards established by the International Olympiad Council to honor outstanding female students scientifically, highlight their contributions in the fields of nuclear science, and encourage their participation in precise scientific disciplines.
The Kingdom topped the results of the third edition of the Olympiad, achieving first place, after student Amjad Mahmoud Al-Darwish was awarded the gold medal and the title of "Nuclear Science Ambassador," following his achievement of the highest score in both the theoretical and practical tests, while student Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Al-Sharid received the silver medal, and student Saleh Mubarak Dhef Allah Al-Harbi received the bronze medal.
The Olympiad awarded 8 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and 18 bronze medals, in addition to several special awards.
The Kingdom hosted the Olympiad competitions in the city of Jeddah from August 2 to 9, with the participation of 120 students and scientific specialists representing 19 countries, organized jointly by the Ministry of Education, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), and the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, while King Abdulaziz University hosted its competitions and events.
