أثار الاتفاق الدفاعي الثلاثي الذي تم توقيعه الجمعة في مكة المكرمة اهتماماً في جميع أنحاء العالم، وليس فقط الدول الثلاث المعنية به، وهي المملكة وتركيا وباكستان. ويأتي ذلك الاهتمام من كونه تدبيراً قلب الأوضاع رأساً على عقب عند من كانوا يخططون لشن هجمات على السعودية من العراق، واليمن، وإيران. فقد تغير الوضع بعد توقيع اتفاق العاصمة المقدسة. ولم تعد السعودية وحدها من يواجه العبث الإيراني الذي يتربص بها من خلال توجيهات طهران، ورَهَق وكلائها في اليمن والعراق؛ بل سيواجه هؤلاء المخربون قوة الدول المتحالفة الثلاث.
لم يأت اتفاق الدفاع الثلاثي الأطراف من فراغ. فقد ظل محور نقاش طويل ومستمر بين العواصم الثلاث منذ شهور. وبتوقيعه يبدو واضحاً أن الأفق الأمني في المنطقة قد أعيدت صياغته، ولم يعد كما كان قبل الاتفاق الدفاعي. وإذا تيسر انضمام قوى إقليمية أخرى إليه فسيصبح أمن الشرق الأوسط كله واقعاً جديداً. والمأمول أن يؤدي تطوير التعاون الأمني بين الدول الثلاث الأعضاء في اتفاق مكة المكرمة إلى تحقيق مكاسب إضافية، من ناحية التعاون الدفاعي، والتصنيع العسكري، وتعزيز المناورات والتدريبات المشتركة. إنه تحالف لا يستهدف أية دولة. لكنه لن يسكت على إلحاق الأذى بأي من دوله الثلاث.
The trilateral defense agreement signed on Friday in Mecca has garnered attention worldwide, not just from the three countries involved: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan. This interest arises from the fact that it is a measure that has turned the situation upside down for those who were planning to launch attacks on Saudi Arabia from Iraq, Yemen, and Iran. The situation has changed after the signing of the holy capital agreement. Saudi Arabia is no longer alone in facing the Iranian meddling that lurks through Tehran's directives and the burden of its proxies in Yemen and Iraq; rather, these saboteurs will now confront the strength of the three allied nations.
The trilateral defense agreement did not come out of nowhere. It has been the subject of long and ongoing discussions among the three capitals for months. With its signing, it is clear that the security landscape in the region has been reshaped and is no longer what it was before the defense agreement. If other regional powers can join it, the security of the entire Middle East will become a new reality. It is hoped that the development of security cooperation among the three member states of the Mecca agreement will lead to additional gains in terms of defense cooperation, military manufacturing, and enhancing joint maneuvers and training. It is an alliance that does not target any country. However, it will not remain silent in the face of harm to any of its three member states.
