افتتح وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد المشرف العام على مسابقات القرآن الكريم المحلية والدولية الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز آل الشيخ، أمس، أعمال التصفيات النهائية لمسابقة الملك عبدالعزيز الدولية لحفظ القرآن الكريم وتلاوته وتفسيره في دورتها الـ46، التي تنظمها الوزارة، برعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، في رحاب المسجد الحرام، بمشاركة 334 متسابقًا ومتسابقة يمثلون 133 دولة.
وأكد آل الشيخ، أن رعاية القيادة للمسابقة تجسد عناية المملكة بالقرآن الكريم وأهله، مشيرًا إلى أن الدورة الحالية تشهد للمرة الأولى إضافة قسم خاص بالإناث، بمشاركة 132 متسابقة، إلى جانب 202 متسابق.
وأوضح، أن جهود الوزارة خلال الأعوام الثمانية الماضية أسهمت في تطوير المسابقة وتعزيز مكانتها الدولية، ورفع عدد الفائزين من 12 إلى 50 فائزًا وفائزة، فيما بلغت قيمة الجوائز 10,260,000 ريال.
وعقب إعلان انطلاق التصفيات النهائية، بدأت لجان التحكيم الاستماع إلى تلاوات المشاركين والمشاركات في فروع المسابقة الخمسة، وسط أجواء إيمانية في رحاب المسجد الحرام، وبحضور المسؤولين ورؤساء الوفود المشاركة.
The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and the General Supervisor of the local and international Quran competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, inaugurated yesterday the final qualifiers for the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Quran, organized by the ministry under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in the Grand Mosque, with the participation of 334 male and female contestants representing 133 countries.
Al Sheikh confirmed that the leadership's sponsorship of the competition embodies the Kingdom's care for the Quran and its people, noting that this year's edition witnesses, for the first time, the addition of a special section for females, with the participation of 132 female contestants, alongside 202 male contestants.
He explained that the ministry's efforts over the past eight years have contributed to the development of the competition and enhancing its international status, increasing the number of winners from 12 to 50, with the total prize value reaching 10,260,000 Riyals.
Following the announcement of the launch of the final qualifiers, the judging committees began listening to the recitations of the participants in the five branches of the competition, amidst a spiritual atmosphere in the Grand Mosque, with the presence of officials and heads of the participating delegations.
