قام مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية بالتعاون مع الوكالة الفرنسية للتنمية بتدشين قسم الطوارئ الجديد ومركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية في مستشفى طرابلس الحكومي، في إطار المبادرة السعودية ـ الفرنسية (الصندوق السعودي ـ الفرنسي لمساعدة لبنان) وبمساهمة من وزارة أوروبا والشؤون الخارجية الفرنسية.
حضر حفل التدشين ممثل سفارة المملكة في الجمهورية اللبنانية أحمد أبو الحمايل، ووزير الصحة اللبناني ركان ناصر الدين، والسفير الفرنسي لدى لبنان هيرفيه ماغرو، ومدير مكتب مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة في لبنان عبدالرحمن القرشي، والمدير العام لمستشفى طرابلس الحكومي فواز الحلاب، ورئيسة بعثة اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في لبنان أنياس دور، ونخبة من الشخصيات السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، والفريق الطبي التابع للمستشفى.
وقدم المدير العام لمستشفى طرابلس الحكومي فواز الحلاب شكره الجزيل للمملكة العربية السعودية على دعمها المستشفى، وتجهيزه وتعزيز قدراته؛ بما يُسهم في تحسين الخدمات المقدمة لآلاف المرضى في المدينة والشمال.
من جانبها، أبرزت رئيسة بعثة اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في لبنان أهمية المشروع الجديد، مؤكدة أن قسم الطوارئ ومركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية سيسهمان في تحسين الوصول إلى الخدمات الطبية.
بعدها تسلَّم ممثل السفارة ومدير مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة في لبنان دروعًا تكريمية، ثم جرى رفع الستارة عن اللوحة التذكارية، وتجول الحضور في قسم الطوارئ ومركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in collaboration with the French Development Agency, inaugurated the new emergency department and primary healthcare center at the Tripoli Government Hospital, as part of the Saudi-French initiative (the Saudi-French Fund for Lebanon) with contributions from the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the representative of the Kingdom's embassy in the Lebanese Republic, Ahmed Abu Al-Hamael, Lebanese Minister of Health Rakan Nasreddine, the French ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro, the director of the King Salman Relief Center in Lebanon Abdulrahman Al-Qurashi, the general director of Tripoli Government Hospital Fawaz Al-Hallab, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross mission in Lebanon Agnès Dorr, and a selection of political, social, and economic figures, along with the hospital's medical team.
Fawaz Al-Hallab, the general director of Tripoli Government Hospital, expressed his deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its support of the hospital, its equipment, and the enhancement of its capabilities; contributing to the improvement of services provided to thousands of patients in the city and the north.
For her part, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross mission in Lebanon highlighted the importance of the new project, emphasizing that the emergency department and primary healthcare center will contribute to improving access to medical services.
Afterward, the embassy representative and the director of the King Salman Relief Center in Lebanon received commemorative shields, and then the curtain was lifted on the commemorative plaque, followed by a tour of the emergency department and primary healthcare center.
