بعد أن انتهت مدارس التعليم العام للبنين والبنات بالمراحل الدراسية الثلاث من تسليم الطلاب والطالبات الكتب الدراسية للعام الدراسي القادم 1448هـ، يتمتع منسوبو التعليم العام بنهاية دوام يوم غد (الخميس)، بالإجازة الصيفية، بعد انتهاء أعمال الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الدراسي الحالي، فيما سينتظر طلاب وطالبات ومعلمو ومعلمات مدارس مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة ومحافظتي جدة والطائف حتى نهاية الأسبوع القادم الموافق الـ17 من شهر محرم الجاري لبدء إجازتهم الصيفية؛ نظراً لاستمرار الاختبارات التحريرية في الإدارات الأربع حتى الأحد القادم، على أن يعقبها اختبارات الدور الثاني للطلاب والطالبات المكملين في بعض المواد الدراسية.
يشار إلى أن وزارة التعليم قد انتهجت هذا العام آلية جديدة في تسليم الكتب قبل نهاية العام الدراسي علاوة على تسليم كتب الصفوف الانتقالية، الصف الرابع الابتدائي، الصف السادس الابتدائي والصف الثالث المتوسط في مدارس الطلاب؛ حرصاً من الوزارة على البداية الجادة مع اليوم الأول لبدء العام الدراسي القادم، والذي سيبدأ يوم الأحد العاشر من شهر ربيع الأول للعام الحالي لكافة الإدارات التعليمية في مناطق ومحافظات المملكة، فيما ستبدأ عودة طلاب وطالبات مدارس مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة ومحافظتي جدة والطائف في الـ17 من شهر ربيع الثاني.
After the public education schools for boys and girls in the three educational stages have completed the distribution of textbooks for the upcoming academic year 1448 AH, the staff of public education will enjoy their summer vacation at the end of the workday tomorrow (Thursday), following the conclusion of the second semester of the current academic year. Meanwhile, students and teachers of schools in Mecca, Medina, and the governorates of Jeddah and Taif will have to wait until the end of next week, corresponding to the 17th of Muharram, to begin their summer vacation; due to the continuation of written examinations in the four administrations until next Sunday, followed by second-round exams for students who need to complete some subjects.
The Ministry of Education has adopted a new mechanism this year for distributing textbooks before the end of the academic year, in addition to distributing books for transitional grades: the fourth grade of primary school, the sixth grade of primary school, and the third grade of intermediate school in boys' schools; this is to ensure a serious start on the first day of the upcoming academic year, which will begin on Sunday, the 10th of Rabi' al-Awwal of the current year for all educational administrations in the regions and governorates of the Kingdom. The return of students from schools in Mecca, Medina, and the governorates of Jeddah and Taif will begin on the 17th of Rabi' al-Thani.
