الاتفاق الذي توصّلت إليه أمريكا وإيران بتوقيع مذكرة التفاهم، التي تُناقَش بنودها بين وفدَي الدولتين في منتجع بورغنستوك في سويسرا، يحمل بصمة سعودية بشهادة باكستان وأطراف الخلاف، الذي سيُعالج بشكل دائم خلال 60 يوماً.
عملت السعودية في هذا الملف بصمت، وتركت للآخرين الحديث عن جهودها الهادفة إلى تحقيق السلام بين أمريكا وإيران، وتجنيب المنطقة تبعات حرب لا رابح فيها، وإنما تلقي بظلالها على الأوضاع الاقتصادية والأمنية والإنسانية، خصوصاً بعد أن تسبّبت في إغلاق مضيق هرمز وما خلّفه من تداعيات على جميع الأسواق العالمية.
تبقى السعودية حريصة على أن تكون الدول العربية والإسلامية في مأمن من الحروب والصراعات، ولكي يتحقّق لها ذلك مارست دورها المُنتظر منها، بحكم مكانتها الإسلامية وهيبتها العسكرية وقوتها الاقتصادية في حلحلة جميع الملفات الشائكة، مستثمرة علاقاتها المتينة والثقة المتبادلة مع الدول الفاعلة خصوصاً الأعضاء الدائمين في مجلس الأمن الدولي.
ولأن السعودية تحظى باحترام جميع الدول تثمر جهودها الدبلوماسية بمخرجات منطقية تحفظ الحقوق، وتلبي المتطلبات، وتحقق آمال الشعوب وتطلعاتها، ولعل ما ستجنيه إيران من الاتفاق مع أمريكا خير دليل يبرهن حرص السعودية على معالجة الأوضاع الاقتصادية لإيران، وبما يحقق آمال وتطلعات شعبها متى ما أثبتت أنها دولة شريكة في صناعة السلام، وأنها تنشد الأمن والاستقرار للمنطقة والعالم.
The agreement reached between the United States and Iran through the signing of a memorandum of understanding, the terms of which are being discussed between the delegations of the two countries at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland, bears a Saudi stamp, as confirmed by Pakistan and the parties involved in the dispute, which will be addressed permanently within 60 days.
Saudi Arabia has worked on this file quietly, allowing others to speak about its efforts aimed at achieving peace between the United States and Iran, and sparing the region the consequences of a war with no winners, which casts shadows over the economic, security, and humanitarian situations, especially after it led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the repercussions that followed on all global markets.
Saudi Arabia remains keen to ensure that Arab and Islamic countries are safe from wars and conflicts, and to achieve this, it has played its expected role, given its Islamic stature, military prestige, and economic power in resolving all contentious issues, leveraging its strong relationships and mutual trust with active countries, especially the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.
Because Saudi Arabia is respected by all countries, its diplomatic efforts yield logical outcomes that preserve rights, meet requirements, and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of peoples. Perhaps what Iran will gain from the agreement with the United States is the best evidence of Saudi Arabia's commitment to addressing Iran's economic conditions, in a way that fulfills the hopes and aspirations of its people, as long as it proves to be a partner in making peace and seeks security and stability for the region and the world.
