أكد شوريون وكُتّاب أهمية عقد قمة خليجية استثنائية، ترأسها المملكة؛ وعدّوها قمة ذات حساسية في التوقيت وفي ظل الاعتداءات الإيرانية على دول المنطقة، لافتين إلى نهج المملكة الراسخ في احتواء الأزمات، وتحجيم تداعياتها، بتنسيق الجهود، وجدولة المواقف والمخرجات.
وذهبت عضو مجلس الشورى الدكتورة أمل الهزاني إلى أن استضافة المملكة للقمة الخليجية التشاورية تؤكد نهجها في ترسيخ الحوار وتنسيق المواقف بين دول مجلس التعاون، ما يعزز التكامل، ويصون الاستقرار في ظل بيئة إقليمية معقدة، تتطلب مزيداً من العمل المشترك وإستراتيجيات أكثر كفاءة لإدارة الأزمات، موضحةً أن دول المجلس بذلت مساعي دبلوماسية لاحتواء التوتر، مع تمسكها بعدم توظيف أراضيها لأي أعمال عدائية، في وقت واصلت فيه إيران والمليشيات التابعة لها توسيع رقعة التصعيد، لافتةً إلى إدانة المملكة لهذه الممارسات باعتبارها خرقاً للقانون الدولي وتهديداً للأمن الإقليمي، مع تأكيد دول المجلس على وحدة أمنها وعدم التهاون في حماية سيادتها، مع ترحيبها بقرار مجلس الأمن (2817) الذي أدان الهجمات الإيرانية، مشيرةً إلى أن آثار الأزمة لم تقتصر على الإطار الإقليمي، بل امتدت لتطال الاقتصاد العالمي، خصوصاً في ظل تأثر الملاحة في مضيق هرمز، ما يستدعي الحفاظ على تدفق التجارة وإمدادات الطاقة. وأضافت الهزاني: دائماً ما تبرهن دول المجلس على جاهزيتها في مواجهة التهديدات وتعزيز التنسيق الاقتصادي واللوجستي، في ظل مواصلة المملكة أداء دورها المحوري في استقرار أسواق الطاقة، ودعمها الكامل لدول الخليج، ومساندتها لكل ما من شأنه تعزيز أمنها، مع تأييد جهود التهدئة والسعي نحو حلول دائمة للأزمة.

فيما يرى عضو مجلس الشورى فضل بن سعد البوعينين أن انعقاد القمة الخليجية التشاورية أتى في وقت تشهد فيه المنطقة ودول الخليج مخاطر أمنية واقتصادية بسبب الحرب الأمريكية الإيرانية، لافتاً إلى أن ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان تبنى الدعوة لانعقاد القمة التشاورية من أجل التنسيق لاحتواء تداعياتها على المنطقة ودول المجلس وشعوبها، بما يحقق أمن واستقرار الدول الخليجية والمنطقة عموماً.

من جهته، أوضح عضو مجلس الشورى الدكتور عبدالله بن عمر النجار أن القمة الخليجية الاستثنائية في جدة تؤكد تماسك المنظومة الخليجية، وقدرتها على التعامل مع التحديات الاستثنائية التي تمر بها المنطقة، امتداداً لمسيرة راسخة انطلقت منذ ما يقارب نصف قرن، لافتاً إلى أن هذه القمة تكتسب أهمية خاصة في ظل دقة المرحلة. وعدّ رئاسة المملكة للقمة تأكيداً لدورها المحوري في تعزيز العمل الخليجي المشترك، والدفع نحو تنسيق أكثر فاعلية واستشراف آفاق مستقبلية أكثر استقراراً وأمناً. وعلّق آمالا كبيرة بأن تسهم القمة في بلورة مخرجات عملية ومتوازنة تعزز أمن واستقرار دول الخليج، وتدعم قدرتها على مواجهة التداعيات المحتملة للأزمات الإقليمية والدولية، بما يحفظ مصالح شعوبها ويعزز مكانتها في مواجهة التحديات المستقبلية.

فيما يرى المفكر الدكتور محمد الرميحي أن كل الطرق الدبلوماسية مع الجارة إيران لم تكن كافية، وأن منفذ ومخطط الاعتداءات على بلداننا لا يفهم في السياسية والعلاقات الدولية. وأضاف الرميحي: تم الاعتداء علينا مرتين الأولى بالصواريخ والمسيّرات، والثانية بقفل مضيق هرمز الشريان الدولي لنا وللعالم، مؤكداً أنه لا بد من موقف خليجي طويل المدى يُرسم بعقل وبقدرات وطنية للوقوف في وجه المشروع الإيراني وأذرعه الفاشلة في المنطقة بحزم.
Shura members and writers emphasized the importance of holding an extraordinary Gulf summit, chaired by the Kingdom; considering it a summit of sensitivity in timing and in light of Iranian attacks on the countries of the region, pointing to the Kingdom's steadfast approach in containing crises and mitigating their repercussions through coordinated efforts and scheduling positions and outcomes.
Member of the Shura Council Dr. Amal Al-Hazani stated that the Kingdom's hosting of the consultative Gulf summit confirms its approach in establishing dialogue and coordinating positions among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which enhances integration and preserves stability in a complex regional environment that requires more joint work and more efficient strategies for crisis management. She clarified that the council countries have made diplomatic efforts to contain tensions while maintaining their refusal to use their territories for any hostile actions, at a time when Iran and its affiliated militias continued to expand the scope of escalation. She pointed out that the Kingdom condemned these practices as violations of international law and threats to regional security, with the council countries affirming their unity in security and their unwavering commitment to protecting their sovereignty, welcoming the Security Council's Resolution (2817) that condemned the Iranian attacks. She noted that the effects of the crisis were not limited to the regional framework but extended to impact the global economy, especially in light of the effects on navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which necessitates maintaining the flow of trade and energy supplies. Al-Hazani added: The council countries always prove their readiness to face threats and enhance economic and logistical coordination, while the Kingdom continues to play its pivotal role in stabilizing energy markets, fully supporting Gulf countries, and backing everything that would enhance their security, while endorsing de-escalation efforts and striving for lasting solutions to the crisis.

Meanwhile, Shura Council member Fadl bin Saad Al-Bouainin believes that the holding of the consultative Gulf summit came at a time when the region and Gulf countries are facing security and economic risks due to the American-Iranian war, noting that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman adopted the call for the consultative summit to coordinate efforts to contain its repercussions on the region, the council countries, and their peoples, achieving security and stability for the Gulf states and the region in general.

For his part, Shura Council member Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Al-Najjar explained that the extraordinary Gulf summit in Jeddah confirms the cohesion of the Gulf system and its ability to deal with the exceptional challenges facing the region, extending a solid journey that began nearly half a century ago. He pointed out that this summit gains special importance in light of the precision of the phase. He considered the Kingdom's presidency of the summit as a confirmation of its pivotal role in enhancing joint Gulf action and pushing towards more effective coordination and envisioning more stable and secure future prospects. He expressed great hopes that the summit would contribute to formulating practical and balanced outcomes that enhance the security and stability of the Gulf states and support their ability to face the potential repercussions of regional and international crises, preserving the interests of their peoples and enhancing their position in facing future challenges.

Meanwhile, thinker Dr. Mohammed Al-Rumaihi believes that all diplomatic avenues with neighboring Iran have not been sufficient, and that the perpetrator and planner of the attacks on our countries does not understand politics and international relations. Al-Rumaihi added: We have been attacked twice, the first with missiles and drones, and the second by closing the Strait of Hormuz, our international lifeline and that of the world, emphasizing that there must be a long-term Gulf stance drawn with reason and national capabilities to stand firmly against the Iranian project and its failed arms in the region.
