قررت هيئة النقل رفع غرامة مخالفات الدراجات الآلية المخصصة لنقل البضائع إلى 28 ألف ريال، ومصادرة الدراجة.
وعزت خطوتها إلى فرض الانضباط في النشاط، والحد من التجاوزات، مع منح اللجنة المكلفة بالنظر في الحالات صلاحية تعليق الرخصة وإيقاف نشاط السائقين لمدة عام كامل، مع التدرج في العقوبات ومضاعفتها في حالة تكرار المخالفة خلال عام واحد. وطبقاً للائحة -التي اعتمدتها الهيئة- تفرض غرامات يومية على معتادي التجاوزات، وإبعاد السائقين غير السعوديين إلى بلدانهم مع حجب التطبيقات والمواقع الإلكترونية التابعة للمنشآت المخالفة، وإغلاق المحلات التي تمارس النشاط دون ترخيص.
وطبقاً للائحة، تم تقسيم المنشآت إلى 4 فئات لتحديد حجم الغرامات، تبدأ من المتناهية الصغر التي تمتلك 5 دراجات كحد أقصى، وصولاً للأعلى التي تتجاوز 250 دراجة، وتعاقب المنشآت الكبيرة بغرامة تبلغ 28,800 ريال عند ممارسة النشاط دون ترخيص أو بعد إلغائه. كما شددت اللائحة المعتمدة على منع نقل الأشخاص على الدراجة الآلية أو نقل بضائع تحتوي على مواد خطرة.
The Transport Authority has decided to raise the fine for violations of motorbikes designated for transporting goods to 28,000 riyals and to confiscate the bike.
It attributed its move to enforcing discipline in the activity and limiting violations, while granting the committee responsible for reviewing cases the authority to suspend licenses and halt drivers' activities for a full year, with a gradual increase in penalties and doubling them in case of repeated violations within one year. According to the regulations - which were approved by the authority - daily fines are imposed on habitual violators, and non-Saudi drivers are to be deported to their countries, along with blocking applications and websites belonging to the violating establishments, and closing shops that operate without a license.
According to the regulations, establishments are divided into 4 categories to determine the size of the fines, starting from micro establishments that own a maximum of 5 bikes, up to the largest ones that exceed 250 bikes, with large establishments being fined 28,800 riyals for operating without a license or after its cancellation. The approved regulations also emphasized the prohibition of transporting people on motorbikes or transporting goods containing hazardous materials.
