أكدت سفيرة اليمن لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، جميلة علي رجاء، حجم المسؤولية الكبيرة التي منحها إياها رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي الدكتور رشاد العليمي، والحكومة اليمنية برئاسة الدكتور شائع الزنداني، في هذه المرحلة الدقيقة التي تمر بها البلاد، مشيرة إلى أن تعيينها سفيرة للجمهورية اليمنية في واحدة من أهم عواصم العالم واشنطن يمثل مهمة وطنية وتكليفا مشرفا يأتي في إطار التوجهات الإستراتيجية للقيادة السياسية نحو ترسيخ الإصلاحات الإدارية، وتعزيز كفاءة الأداء في الملف السياسي، وإعادة تفعيل مؤسسات الدولة في العاصمة المؤقتة عدن، وفق معايير منضبطة للأداء المؤسسي الوزاري والدبلوماسي، وبما ينسجم مع أهداف ومصالح وتوجهات الحكومة، ويُسهم في تحسين الأوضاع الاقتصادية والخدمية والأمنية للمواطنين.
وقالت لـ«عكاظ»، في أول حديث لها عقب توليها منصب سفيرة للجمهورية اليمنية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، إن هذا التعيين يمثل مهمة وطنية تعكس ثقة القيادة السياسية، مشيرة إلى أنها تستشعر حجم المسؤولية الملقاة على عاتقها في هذه المرحلة الدقيقة، مؤكدة التزامها ببذل أقصى الجهود لخدمة اليمن، قيادةً وشعبًا، في واحدة من أهم عواصم العالم، في ظل تحولات إقليمية ودولية متسارعة ومعقدة.
تعزيز العلاقات الدولية
وأوضحت سفيرة اليمن لدى أمريكا، حرصها على القيام بواجباتها ومسؤولياتها في تمثيل اليمن التمثيل المشرف وإبراز وجهها الحضاري المشرق بما يليق مع دورها ويعزز من صورتها ومكانتها، وكذا تبني قضاياها العادلة ومصالحها الحقيقية والعمل على حشد الدعم الدولي لمساندة جهود الحكومة في مواصلة الإصلاحات الشاملة من أجل تمكينها في تلبية تطلعات الشعب اليمني، مشيرة إلى أنها ستعمل في الدفع بمسار العلاقات الثنائية مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية للأمام والاستفادة من مكانتها وتأثيرها الدولي بما يخدم مصالح اليمن واستقراره ويعزز مجالات التعاون التنموي والإنساني.
ولفتت إلى الدور الأساسي والمهم الذي سوف تضطلع به في التنسيق والتعاون المشترك مع ممثلي وسفراء الدول الشقيقة والصديقة في تبني المواقف الموحدة وبناء شراكات إستراتيجية وقوية بما يخدم مصالح الجمهورية اليمنية ويعزز من مكانتها وحضورها في المشهد الدولي.
ودعت سفيرة اليمن لدى الولايات المتحدة جميلة رجاء، جميع المخلصين والوطنيين في اليمن إلى تغليب المصلحة الوطنية، ونبذ الخلافات، والالتفاف حول مشروع الدولة، والعمل المشترك لإنهاء أوهام الحوثيين، وإعادة بناء الدولة والجمهورية وترسيخ مبادئها، من خلال دعم الجهود الرامية إلى استعادة مؤسسات الدولة، وبناء مسار إيجابي يفضي إلى نموذج تنموي وفكري وثقافي يعزز السردية الوطنية، ويقدّم اليمن بصورة تليق بتاريخه ومكانته.
شراكة إستراتيجية وتنسيق وثيق
وأعربت سفيرة اليمن لدى واشنطن، عن خالص الشكر والتقدير للمملكة العربية السعودية قيادةً وحكومةً وشعبًا، على مواقفهم الأخوية الصادقة، ودعمهم المستمر للشعب اليمني والحكومة الشرعية، من خلال شراكة استراتيجية فاعلة وتنسيق وثيق يُشكّلان ركيزة أساسية لدعم جهود التعافي والاستقرار في اليمن.
وأشادت سفيرة اليمن، بالدور الدبلوماسي الفاعل والمؤثر للمملكة العربية السعودية على الصعيد الإقليمي والدولي انطلاقا من مكانتها وحضورها البارز في دعم إحلال السلام والقضايا العادلة. وثمنت الجهود الكبيرة التي بذلتها السعودية في مساندة اليمن وحكومته الشرعية في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية وتحقيق إجماع دولي في التأكيد على وحدة وسلامة أراضيه وهو ما ساهم في الحفاظ المركز القانوني للدولة، مشيرة إلى حرصها في استمرار التنسيق المشترك بين البلدين تجاه مختلف الأحداث وفي تبني المواقف الموحدة التي تنسجم مع طبيعة وعمق العلاقات التي تربط اليمن والسعودية والشراكة الإستراتيجية والحيوية بينهما.
يُذكر، أن السفيرة جميلة علي رجاء، تُعد أول امرأة يمنية تتولى منصب سفير الجمهورية اليمنية لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، في خطوة لاقت ترحيباً واسعاً في الشارع اليمني وفي الوسط الإعلامي والسياسي انطلاقا من السجل الذي تمتلكه في العمل الدبلوماسي وجهود بناء السلام، وقدرتها على إدارة الملفات المعقدة.
The Yemeni Ambassador to the United States, Jamila Ali Rajea, affirmed the significant responsibility bestowed upon her by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and the Yemeni government headed by Dr. Shae' Al-Zandani, during this critical phase the country is going through. She pointed out that her appointment as the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen in one of the world's most important capitals, Washington, represents a national mission and an honorable assignment that aligns with the strategic directions of the political leadership towards consolidating administrative reforms, enhancing performance efficiency in the political file, and reactivating state institutions in the temporary capital, Aden, according to disciplined standards for institutional, ministerial, and diplomatic performance, in a manner that is consistent with the goals, interests, and orientations of the government, contributing to improving the economic, service, and security conditions for citizens.
In her first statement to "Okaz" following her appointment as the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the United States, she stated that this appointment represents a national mission that reflects the trust of the political leadership, noting that she feels the weight of the responsibility placed upon her during this critical phase, affirming her commitment to exerting maximum efforts to serve Yemen, its leadership, and its people, in one of the world's most important capitals, amidst rapidly evolving and complex regional and international transformations.
Enhancing International Relations
The Yemeni Ambassador to the U.S. clarified her keenness to fulfill her duties and responsibilities in representing Yemen honorably and highlighting its bright civilizational face in a manner befitting her role and enhancing its image and status, as well as adopting its just causes and real interests and working to rally international support to assist the government's efforts in continuing comprehensive reforms to empower it to meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people. She indicated that she will work to advance the course of bilateral relations with the United States and benefit from its position and international influence in a way that serves Yemen's interests and stability and enhances areas of developmental and humanitarian cooperation.
She highlighted the essential and important role she will undertake in coordinating and collaborating with representatives and ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries to adopt unified positions and build strong strategic partnerships that serve the interests of the Republic of Yemen and enhance its status and presence in the international scene.
The Yemeni Ambassador to the United States, Jamila Rajea, called on all sincere and patriotic individuals in Yemen to prioritize national interest, reject disputes, rally around the state project, and work together to end the illusions of the Houthis, rebuild the state and the republic, and reinforce its principles, by supporting efforts aimed at restoring state institutions and building a positive path leading to a developmental, intellectual, and cultural model that enhances the national narrative and presents Yemen in a manner befitting its history and status.
Strategic Partnership and Close Coordination
The Yemeni Ambassador in Washington expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people, for their sincere brotherly positions and their continuous support for the Yemeni people and the legitimate government, through an effective strategic partnership and close coordination that form a fundamental pillar for supporting recovery and stability efforts in Yemen.
The Yemeni Ambassador praised the effective and influential diplomatic role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the regional and international levels, based on its prominent position and presence in supporting peace and just causes. She appreciated the significant efforts made by Saudi Arabia in supporting Yemen and its legitimate government in regional and international forums and achieving international consensus on the unity and integrity of its territories, which contributed to preserving the legal status of the state. She indicated her commitment to continuing joint coordination between the two countries regarding various events and adopting unified positions that align with the nature and depth of the relations that bind Yemen and Saudi Arabia and the strategic and vital partnership between them.
It is noteworthy that Ambassador Jamila Ali Rajea is the first Yemeni woman to hold the position of Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the United States, a step that has been widely welcomed in Yemeni society and among the media and political circles, based on her record in diplomatic work, peace-building efforts, and her ability to manage complex files.
