أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة المملكة العربية السعودية واستنكارها الشديدين للهجمات الإجرامية التي شنتها قوات الدعم السريع على مستشفى الكويك العسكري، وعلى قافلة إغاثية تابعة لبرنامج الغذاء العالمي، وعلى حافلة تقل نازحين مدنيين، التي أدت إلى مقتل عشرات المدنيين العزل، من بينهم نساء وأطفال، وإلحاق أضرار بمنشآت وقوافل إغاثية في ولايتي شمال وجنوب كردفان. وأكدت المملكة أن هذه الأعمال لا يمكن تبريرها بأي حال من الأحوال، وتشكل انتهاكات صارخة لجميع الأعراف الإنسانية والاتفاقيات الدولية ذات الصلة. وطالبت المملكة بضرورة توقف قوات الدعم السريع فوراً عن هذه الانتهاكات، والالتزام بواجبها الأخلاقي والإنساني في تأمين وصول المساعدات الإغاثية لمحتاجيها وفقاً للقوانين الدولية والإنسانية، وما ورد في إعلان جدة (الالتزام بحماية المدنيين في السودان) الموقع بتاريخ 11 مايو 2023. وجددت المملكة تأكيد موقفها الداعي إلى وحدة السودان وأمنه واستقراره، وضرورة الحفاظ على مؤسساته الشرعية، ورفضها للتدخلات الخارجية واستمرار بعض الأطراف في إدخال السلاح غير الشرعي والمرتزقة والمقاتلين الأجانب، على الرغم من تأكيد هذه الأطراف على دعمها للحل السياسي، في سلوك يعد عاملاً رئيسياً في إطالة أمد الصراع ويزيد من استمرار معاناة شعب السودان الشقيق.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and strong denunciation of the criminal attacks launched by the Rapid Support Forces on the Kuwik Military Hospital, on a humanitarian convoy belonging to the World Food Program, and on a bus carrying displaced civilians, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of unarmed civilians, including women and children, and caused damage to facilities and humanitarian convoys in the states of North and South Kordofan. The Kingdom affirmed that these acts can in no way be justified and constitute a blatant violation of all humanitarian norms and relevant international agreements. The Kingdom called for the immediate cessation of these violations by the Rapid Support Forces and for them to adhere to their moral and humanitarian duty to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need in accordance with international and humanitarian laws, and as stated in the Jeddah Declaration (commitment to protecting civilians in Sudan) signed on May 11, 2023. The Kingdom reiterated its position calling for the unity, security, and stability of Sudan, the necessity of preserving its legitimate institutions, and its rejection of external interventions and the continued actions of some parties in introducing illegal weapons, mercenaries, and foreign fighters, despite these parties asserting their support for a political solution, in behavior that is a key factor in prolonging the conflict and increasing the suffering of the brotherly people of Sudan.
