The Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work announced the winners of 10 nominees "entities and individuals" in the thirteenth cycle of the award for the year 2025, which launched last September under the title (Social Intelligence in the Service of Humanity) in line with the award's alignment with the national objectives.

This was announced during a press conference held today, attended by the member of the Board of Trustees and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee, Prince Saud bin Fahd bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Saud Al-Kabir, member of the Board of Trustees and committee member, Prince Salman bin Muhammad bin Salman bin Muhammad bin Saud bin Faisal, the Secretary-General of the award, Dr. Fahd Al-Maghlouth, and a number of media professionals and those interested in social work, held in the Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Hall at the Sofitel Hotel in Riyadh.

A Continuous Message to Discover Creatives

The conference began with a welcoming speech from Prince Saud bin Fahd, in which he said: "The award was launched from a great humanitarian legacy instilled by Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz, to become today a national platform that celebrates excellence in social work and highlights initiatives that embody the values of giving, solidarity, and national belonging. In this cycle, we celebrate winning models and entities that have confirmed that institutional social work based on awareness and innovation can create a sustainable impact and reflects the spirit of positive competition in serving the community and the nation."

He continued: "The Princess Seeta Award is not just an honor, but a continuous message to discover creatives, stimulate pioneering initiatives, and establish a culture of responsible social work in various regions of the Kingdom," concluding with thanks to everyone and the media for their ongoing support, asking God to envelop Princess Seeta in His vast mercy and to maintain the nation's security and progress.

After that, the Secretary-General of the award, Dr. Fahd Al-Maghlouth, confirmed in his speech that this year's cycle came under the title "Social Intelligence in the Service of Humanity," based on a firm belief that developing social work requires a deeper awareness of community needs and a smart employment of experiences and innovation, contributing to achieving a tangible and sustainable impact. He pointed out that this cycle witnessed a wide turnout and notable diversity in the submissions, reflecting the growing culture of excellence in social work and the rising level of awareness of the importance of institutional initiatives capable of making a real difference in the lives of beneficiaries.

765 Applicants Across 6 Categories

Al-Maghlouth explained that the number of applicants for the award across its six categories reached 765 from various regions of the Kingdom. He then announced the names of the award winners: In the category of Excellence in National Achievement (for government entities), it was jointly awarded to the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones "MODON" and the General Administration of Education in the Qassim Region. In the category of Excellence in Islamic Endowment (for endowment entities), it was jointly awarded to the Waqf of the Two Holy Qur'ans in Medina and the Islamic University of Medina. In the category of Excellence in Social Work Programs (for non-profit entities), the selection committee decided to award it jointly to the Neighborhood Centers Association in the Makkah Region and the Pilgrims and Umrah Services Association. In the category of Excellence for Social Work Pioneers (for individuals), the committee decided to award it to Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Othaim. In the category of Social Responsibility (for companies), the award was given to Sahara International Petrochemical Company "Sipchem." In the category of Environmental Sustainability (for entities and individuals), it was jointly awarded to the Municipality of Hail Region and King Khalid University.

He concluded his speech by announcing this year's guest of honor, which is the "Waqf of Seeta bint Abdulaziz" in recognition of its national role in humanitarian work, affirming that the role of the Princess Seeta Award Foundation is not limited to honoring but extends to stimulating, building inspiring models, and supporting initiatives that align with national development objectives, expressing his gratitude to all participants and the members of the judging committees.
