أعلن رئيس الوزراء النيبالي شارما أولي، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، استقالته بعد أن أحرق متظاهرون البرلمان ومقار أحزاب ومنازل رئيس البلاد وعدد من الوزراء؛ وذلك على خلفية حجب الحكومة عدداً من منصات التواصل الاجتماعي.
وعزا رئيس الوزراء النيبالي، في رسالة إلى رئيس البلاد رام شاندرا بودل، أسباب الاستقالة إلى حالة الطوارئ بعد أن اجتاحت النيبال احتجاجات حاشدة في محاولة منه لتسوية الأزمة السياسية بطريقة دستورية، وفقاً لصحيفة «هيمالايا تايمز». وأشار إلى أن قراره الهدف منه حل المشكلات اعتباراً من تاريخ سريانها وبحسب القانون، وبحسب الصحيفة فإن 19 شخصاً توفوا وأصيب المئات خلال الاحتجاجات التي اجتاحت البلاد.
ثورة الجيل زد
وكانت حكومة نيبال قد ألغت، في وقت سابق اليوم، قيوداً فرضتها يوم 4 سبتمبر على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي (فيسبوك وإنستغرام وواتساب)، وغيرها من وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، التي لم تكن مسجلة في وزارة الإعلام وتقنيات المعلومات.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام نيبالية أن المتظاهرين في ثورتهم، التي أطلقوا عليها تسمية «ثورة الجيل زد»، اقتحموا منزل رئيس نيبال، وأضرموا النيران فيه، كما نفّذوا أعمالاً تخريبية في عدد من المنازل والمحلات التجارية.
وذكر موقع «نيبال نيوز»، أن المتظاهرين أشعلوا النيران في منازل عدد من السياسيين في العاصمة النيبالية كاتماندو، بما في ذلك منزل رئيس الحزب الشيوعي النيبالي (الوسط الماوي)، بوشبا كمال داهال، ومنزل وزير الإعلام وتقنيات المعلومات بريثفي سوبا غورونغ، ومنزل وزير الداخلية راميش ليخاك، الذي استقال من منصبه على خلفية الاحتجاجات في البلاد هو الآخر.
وذكرت المصادر أن المتظاهرين تجمّعوا اليوم مجدداً أمام مبنى البرلمان النيبالي في كاتماندو، وقاموا بإشعال الإطارات وقطع الطرق مطالبين باستقالة الحكومة، بينما فرضت السلطات حظر تجول.

وانتشر مقطع فيديو لوزير المالية وهو يفر والمتظاهرون الغاضبون يلاحقونه في الشوارع بعد إحراق منزله.
وأفادت قناة «إنديا اليوم» أن عناصر حفظ النظام استخدموا الأسلحة الخفيفة ومدافع المياه والغاز المسيل للدموع لتفريق المتظاهرين مما تسبب في مقتل 19 شخصاً وإصابة المئات، مبينة أن الاحتجاجات جرت في عدد من المدن الكبرى في نيبال.
تحذيرات دبلوماسية
من جهة أخرى، وجّهت عدد من البعثات الدبلوماسية الغربية العاملة في النيبال رعاياها بعدم الخروج إلى الشوارع في كاتماندو، بما فيها الخارجية الروسية.

The Nepalese Prime Minister attributed his resignation in a letter to President Ram Chandra Poudel to the state of emergency after mass protests swept Nepal in an attempt to resolve the political crisis constitutionally, according to the "Himalaya Times." He indicated that his decision aims to address the issues from the date they arose and according to the law. According to the newspaper, 19 people have died and hundreds have been injured during the protests that swept the country.
Generation Z Revolution
The Nepalese government had earlier today lifted restrictions imposed on September 4 on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), and other social media that were not registered with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
Nepalese media reported that the protesters in their revolution, which they dubbed the "Generation Z Revolution," stormed the home of the President of Nepal and set it on fire, as well as vandalizing several homes and businesses.
The "Nepal News" website reported that the protesters set fire to the homes of several politicians in the Nepalese capital Kathmandu, including the home of the leader of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the home of the Minister of Information and Communication Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung, and the home of the Minister of Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak, who also resigned from his position in light of the protests in the country.
Sources indicated that the protesters gathered again today in front of the Nepalese parliament building in Kathmandu, setting tires on fire and blocking roads while demanding the resignation of the government, as authorities imposed a curfew.
Finance Minister Flees as Angry Protesters Chase Him
A video clip circulated showing the Finance Minister fleeing while angry protesters chased him through the streets after setting his home on fire.
The "India Today" channel reported that law enforcement used light weapons, water cannons, and tear gas to disperse the protesters, resulting in the deaths of 19 people and injuries to hundreds, noting that protests occurred in several major cities in Nepal.
Diplomatic Warnings
On another note, several Western diplomatic missions operating in Nepal advised their citizens not to go out into the streets in Kathmandu, including the Russian Foreign Ministry.
