أول لقاح للإنفلونزا
ويستعد المصنع لإنتاج أول لقاح للإنفلونزا الموسمية داخل المملكة، باستخدام تقنية الخلايا الحية المتطورة (Cell-Based)، بما يعزز قدرة المملكة على تطوير وإنتاج اللقاحات محليًا.
أكبر مصنع في المنطقة
ويمثل المشروع أحد أبرز مشاريع توطين صناعة اللقاحات البشرية في المملكة، إذ سيكون أكبر مصنع للقاحات البشرية في الشرق الأوسط والأول من نوعه في السعودية، بما يدعم بناء منظومة وطنية متقدمة للصناعات الدوائية والحيوية.
ومع وصول الأعمال الإنشائية إلى 80%، يواصل المشروع تقدمه نحو التشغيل والإنتاج، في مسار يعزز الأمن الدوائي للمملكة، ويدعم قدرتها على تأمين احتياجاتها من اللقاحات محليًا.
In a national achievement that reflects the Kingdom's progress in localizing the vaccine industry and enhancing its pharmaceutical security, the work on the Vaccine Manufacturing Company project is accelerating, which aims to establish the first human vaccine factory in Saudi Arabia and the largest of its kind in the Middle East. The project has completed about 80% of the construction work, entering its final stages, in preparation for production to begin next year, in a step that represents a qualitative advancement towards building sustainable national capabilities in vaccine manufacturing.
First Influenza Vaccine
The factory is preparing to produce the first seasonal influenza vaccine within the Kingdom, using advanced cell-based technology, which enhances the Kingdom's ability to develop and produce vaccines locally.
Largest Factory in the Region
The project represents one of the most prominent initiatives to localize the human vaccine industry in the Kingdom, as it will be the largest human vaccine factory in the Middle East and the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, supporting the establishment of an advanced national system for pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries.
With construction work reaching 80%, the project continues to advance towards operation and production, in a path that enhances the Kingdom's pharmaceutical security and supports its ability to secure its vaccine needs locally.
