وقعت الهيئة العامة للموانئ (موانئ) و«مجموعة ZTT» الصينية اتفاقية تأجير أرض لإنشاء مصنع للكيابل البحرية والأرضية بميناء رأس الخير، على مساحة تصل إلى 80 ألف متر مربع، وبقيمة استثمارية تناهز 375 مليون ريال.
وجرى توقيع الاتفاقية بين رئيس الهيئة العامة للموانئ المهندس سليمان بن خالد المزروع والرئيس التنفيذي لـ"مجموعة ZTT" السيد شيوي جيانلين خلال فعاليات مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار التاسع المنعقد في مدينة الرياض.
وأكد رئيس الهيئة العامة للموانئ أن هذا المشروع يُعد خطوة إستراتيجية تعزز مكانة ميناء رأس الخير كمحرك تنموي ومحور رئيسي للصناعات في المملكة، مشيراً إلى مساهمة هذه الشراكة في توطين صناعة الكيابل البحرية والأرضية واستقطاب التقنيات المتقدمة لدعم مجالات الاتصالات.
وأضاف أن ذلك يأتي امتداداً لجهود الهيئة في تمكين الشراكات النوعية من خلال إقامة مشاريع تنموية في موانئ المملكة، تماشياً مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030، والإستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية، الهادفة إلى ترسيخ مكانة المملكة كمركز لوجستي عالمي يربط القارات الثلاث.
وتهدف الاتفاقية إلى تطوير صناعة الكيابل البحرية والأرضية في المملكة، تماشياً مع مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للنقل والخدمات اللوجستية بترسيخ مكانة المملكة كمركز لوجستي عالمي.
وسيبلغ الإنتاج السنوي المتوقع للمصنع 500 كيلومتر من الكابلات البحرية، و500 كيلومتر من الكابلات الأرضية، و12,500 كيلومتر من كابلات الفايبر، ما يعكس قدرة المصنع على تلبية احتياجات المشاريع الوطنية والإقليمية.
ويتميز ميناء رأس الخير بمساحته التي تصل إلى 23 كلم2، ويضم 14 رصيفاً، وطاقة استيعابية تقدر بنحو 35 مليون طن، كما يتمتع بخصائص وقدرات تشغيلية ولوجستية ذات كفاءة عالية، بما يتضمنه من معدَّات وأدوات وأجهزة متطورة لمناوَلة جميع أنواع البضائع العامة والسائبة.
يذكر أن شركة «ZTT» الصينية تعد من الشركات العالمية الرائدة المتخصصة في مجال تصنيع الكيابل البحرية والاتصالات والطاقة، حيث تمتلك مصانع في عدة دول، من بينها تركيا، ألمانيا، المغرب، وإندونيسيا، وتسعى حالياً إلى توسعة عملياتها لتشمل دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.
The General Authority for Ports (Ports) and the Chinese "ZTT Group" signed a land lease agreement to establish a factory for marine and land cables at the Ras Al Khair Port, covering an area of up to 80,000 square meters, with an investment value approaching 375 million riyals.
The agreement was signed between the Chairman of the General Authority for Ports, Engineer Suleiman bin Khalid Al-Mazrou, and the CEO of "ZTT Group," Mr. Xue Jianlin, during the events of the ninth Future Investment Initiative conference held in Riyadh.
The Chairman of the General Authority for Ports confirmed that this project is a strategic step that enhances the position of Ras Al Khair Port as a developmental engine and a key hub for industries in the Kingdom, pointing out that this partnership contributes to localizing the marine and land cable industry and attracting advanced technologies to support communications fields.
He added that this comes as an extension of the Authority's efforts to enable quality partnerships by establishing developmental projects in the Kingdom's ports, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub connecting the three continents.

The expected annual production of the factory will reach 500 kilometers of marine cables, 500 kilometers of land cables, and 12,500 kilometers of fiber cables, reflecting the factory's ability to meet the needs of national and regional projects.
Ras Al Khair Port is characterized by its area of up to 23 km², comprising 14 berths and an estimated capacity of about 35 million tons. It also enjoys high operational and logistical efficiency features and capabilities, including advanced equipment and tools for handling all types of general and bulk cargo.
It is worth mentioning that the Chinese "ZTT" company is one of the leading global companies specialized in the manufacturing of marine cables, communications, and energy, with factories in several countries, including Turkey, Germany, Morocco, and Indonesia, and is currently seeking to expand its operations to include the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
