خلال كلمته في مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار التاسعة بعنوان: «الطاقة التنافسية محرك للاقتصاد الجديد» في النسخة التاسعة من مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار (FII)، الذي انطلق في العاصمة الرياض بمشاركة واسعة من قادة الدول وكبار التنفيذيين والمستثمرين العالميين والخبراء في مجالات الاقتصاد والطاقة والتقنية، أكد وزير الطاقة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، أن المملكة العربية السعودية تمتلك أحد أكثر أنظمة الطاقة تنافسيةً وموثوقيةً في العالم، وتُسهم بفاعلية في تحفيز الاقتصاد الجديد وتقديم فرص استثمارية واعدة للعالم.
وقال وزير الطاقة في كلمته الرئيسة بعنوان "الطاقة التنافسية محرك للاقتصاد الجديد"، إن قطاع الطاقة في المملكة يسعى إلى ترسيخ مبدأ التنافسية في توفير الطاقة للعالم، مشيراً إلى أن الاقتصاد الجديد يحتاج إلى كميات كبيرة من الطاقة، وهو ما يستدعي وعياً عميقاً بأهمية توازن النمو مع الاستدامة البيئية.
وأوضح وزير الطاقة أن تحقيق النمو والتنافسية سيكون مكلفاً، لكن الاستدامة وخفض الانبعاثات الكربونية تظل أولوية وطنية، مؤكداً أن المملكة تمتلك الغاز الطبيعي والطاقة البديلة وتعمل على تطوير سوق الكربون بجدية لتحقيق مستهدفاتها المناخية، بما يعزز دورها الرائد في أمن الطاقة العالمي.
وأشار وزير الطاقة إلى أن المملكة تمنح الشركات الوطنية المتخصصة في الطاقة المتجددة، مثل "أكوا باور"، أولوية ودعماً مستمراً لتمكينها من المنافسة إقليمياً وعالمياً، مؤكداً حرص وزارة الطاقة على استمرارية طرح المناقصات وفق آلية سعرية شفافة وعادلة لضمان عدالة السوق وتعزيز ثقة المستثمرين.
وبيّن الأمير عبدالعزيز أن التوسع في قطاع الطاقة وتحديثه أمر أساسي لمواكبة التحولات الاقتصادية العالمية، مشدداً على أن المملكة تمتلك أكثر مصادر الطاقة تنافسية وموثوقية واستدامة لدفع عجلة الاقتصاد الجديد.
واختتم وزير الطاقة بالتأكيد على أن أتمتة شبكة الكهرباء في المملكة وصلت إلى 40%، مضيفاً بثقة أن النسبة ستصل إلى الأعلى بحلول عام 2060، بما يعكس التزام المملكة برؤيتها الإستراتيجية نحو قطاع طاقة أكثر كفاءة واستدامة يخدم الاقتصاد الوطني والعالمي.

During his speech at the ninth Future Investment Initiative conference titled: "Competitive Energy as a Driver for the New Economy" in the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII), which kicked off in the capital Riyadh with wide participation from leaders of countries, senior executives, global investors, and experts in the fields of economy, energy, and technology, Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possesses one of the most competitive and reliable energy systems in the world, and effectively contributes to stimulating the new economy and providing promising investment opportunities to the world.
The Minister of Energy, in his keynote speech titled "Competitive Energy as a Driver for the New Economy," stated that the energy sector in the Kingdom seeks to establish the principle of competitiveness in providing energy to the world, noting that the new economy requires large amounts of energy, which necessitates a deep awareness of the importance of balancing growth with environmental sustainability.
The Minister of Energy clarified that achieving growth and competitiveness will be costly, but sustainability and reducing carbon emissions remain a national priority, affirming that the Kingdom possesses natural gas and alternative energy and is seriously working on developing a carbon market to achieve its climate targets, thereby enhancing its leading role in global energy security.
The Minister of Energy indicated that the Kingdom grants priority and ongoing support to national companies specialized in renewable energy, such as "ACWA Power," to enable them to compete regionally and globally, emphasizing the Ministry of Energy's commitment to continuously offering tenders according to a transparent and fair pricing mechanism to ensure market fairness and enhance investor confidence.
Prince Abdulaziz pointed out that expanding and modernizing the energy sector is essential to keep pace with global economic transformations, stressing that the Kingdom possesses the most competitive, reliable, and sustainable energy sources to drive the new economy.
The Minister of Energy concluded by affirming that the automation of the electricity grid in the Kingdom has reached 40%, adding confidently that this percentage will rise higher by 2060, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to its strategic vision for a more efficient and sustainable energy sector that serves the national and global economy.
