رأس وزير الاستثمار خالد الفالح، وفد المملكة في الاجتماع الوزاري الخامس للجنة «الرؤية السعودية الكورية 2030» في سيؤول.
وقال الوزير إن وفد المملكة تابع تقدم مسارات العمل، تمهيدا لانتقال مبادرات اللجنة إلى مجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجية السعودي الكوري بقيادة، ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، لتعزيز التكامل الاقتصادي والاستثماري بين البلدين.
وأضاف: «مجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجية، يفتح آفاقا في الذكاء الاصطناعي، والمدن الذكية، والثقافة، وتعزيز الابتكار وتنويع الاقتصاد».
وأكد وزير الاستثمار تقديم دعوة للشركات الكورية لاستثمار الفرص الاستثنائية تحت مظلة رؤية السعودية 2030 مثل إكسبو 2030 وكأس العالم 2034.
تراخيص استثمارية
وذكر أن: «شراكتنا مع كوريا تتسارع، فمنذ 2016 قفزت التراخيص الاستثمارية من نحو 65 إلى 213، تشمل شراكات إستراتيجية مع شركات عالمية في التقنيات المتقدمة، وصناعة السيارات، ولقد اجتمعت في سيؤول، مع نخبة من قادة التقنية، الطاقة، والصناعات المتقدمة في الطاولة المستديرة السعودية الكورية للأعمال، وتحدثنا حول وفرة الفرص الاستثمارية في السعودية، وقوة بنيتنا التحتية واستعدادها للربط اللوجستي الإقليمي، ما يسهل التكامل بين البلدين».
يذكر أن الوزير الفالح اجتمع في سيؤول مع وزيرة المنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة والشركات الناشئة الكورية هان سيونغ سوك؛ لتعزيز الشراكة في دعم الابتكار وتمكين الشركات الريادية، كما تم خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز منظومة الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، وتمكين المنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة في القطاعات الواعدة.
The Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, headed the Kingdom's delegation at the fifth ministerial meeting of the "Saudi-Korean Vision 2030" committee in Seoul.
The minister stated that the Kingdom's delegation followed up on the progress of work tracks, in preparation for transferring the committee's initiatives to the Saudi-Korean Strategic Partnership Council, led by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, to enhance economic and investment integration between the two countries.
He added: "The Strategic Partnership Council opens horizons in artificial intelligence, smart cities, culture, and enhancing innovation and economic diversification."
The Minister of Investment confirmed that an invitation was extended to Korean companies to invest in exceptional opportunities under the umbrella of Saudi Vision 2030, such as Expo 2030 and the 2034 World Cup.
Investment Licenses
He mentioned that: "Our partnership with Korea is accelerating; since 2016, investment licenses have jumped from about 65 to 213, including strategic partnerships with global companies in advanced technologies and the automotive industry. I met in Seoul with a select group of leaders in technology, energy, and advanced industries at the Saudi-Korean Business Roundtable, and we discussed the abundance of investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, the strength of our infrastructure, and its readiness for regional logistical connectivity, which facilitates integration between the two countries."
It is noteworthy that Minister Al-Falih met in Seoul with the Korean Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups, Han Seung-sook, to enhance the partnership in supporting innovation and empowering entrepreneurial companies. During the meeting, ways to enhance the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and empower small and medium enterprises in promising sectors were also discussed.
