أعلنت وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية تأهل 31 شركة محلية وعالمية للمنافسة على رخص الكشف في ثلاثة أحزمة متمعدنة جديدة بالمملكة تغطي مساحتها 24.423 كيلومتر مربع، بعد اجتيازها مرحلة التأهيل المسبق التي شهدت تنافس61 شركة، وذلك في إطار جهود الوزارة لتسريع وتيرة الاستكشاف التعديني بالمملكة.
وتأتي الأحزمة المتمعدنة الثلاثة ضمن خطة الوزارة لطرح أكثر من 50 ألف كيلو كيلومتر مربع من المواقع التعدينية والأحزمة المتمعدنة خلال عام 2025، التي أعلن عنها خلال النسخة الأخيرة من مؤتمر التعدين الدولي؛ بهدف زيادة الإنفاق على الاستكشاف في المملكة، وتحقيق الاستغلال الأمثل للموارد التعدينية المقدرة قيمتها بأكثر من 9.4 تريليون ريال.
وتقع مواقع الأحزمة المتمعدنة المطروحة في منطقتي الرياض والمدينة المنورة، وتشمل حزام النقرة وحزام صخيبرة (الصفراء) في منطقة المدينة المنورة، وحزام الدويحي (نبيطة) في منطقة الرياض، وتضم مجموعة متنوعة من المعادن الأساسية والثمينة، بما في ذلك الذهب، والنحاس، والفضة، والزنك، والنيكل.
وتمر المنافسات التعدينية بثلاث مراحل أساسية تبدأ بمرحلة التأهيل المسبق، ثم مرحلة إطلاق الأدلة الإرشادية وتدشين منصة المنافسات التعدينية ومرحلة اختيار المواقع في منصة المنافسات الإلكترونية، تليها مرحلة ترسية المواقع على الشركات الفائزة.
وخلال المرحلة القادمة يتعيَّن على الشركات المؤهلة في المنافسة على رخص الكشف في الأحزمة المتمعدنة الثلاثة اختيار المواقع المتاحة من هذه الأحزمة عبر منصة «تعدين» الرقمية، ضمن معايير دقيقة تضمن أعلى مستويات الشفافية وتكافؤ الفرص بين المستثمرين، ويتوقع الإعلان عن الفائزين خلال الربع الثالث من 2025.
وأكدت الوزارة أن هذه الجولة الجديدة من المنافسات التعدينية تبيّن التزام المملكة بتعزيز قطاع التعدين ركيزة أساسية للتنويع الاقتصادي وجذب الاستثمارات الدولية، وتعكس المشاركة الواسعة من الشركات المحلية والدولية حرص القطاع الخاص على استغلال الفرص الاستثمارية الواعدة في قطاع التعدين.
وتعتزم وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية الإعلان خلال الربع الرابع من العام الحالي عن إطلاق جولتين من منافسات رخص الكشف في أحزمة متمعدنة تحتوي على خامات معدنية إستراتيجية حيوية للتحول إلى الطاقة النظيفة، منها الكوارتز والقصدير والحديد، بإجمالي مساحة يصل إلى 21 ألف كيلومتر مربع.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the qualification of 31 local and international companies to compete for exploration licenses in three new mineral belts in the Kingdom, covering an area of 24,423 square kilometers, after passing the pre-qualification stage that saw competition among 61 companies. This is part of the ministry's efforts to accelerate the pace of mineral exploration in the Kingdom.
The three mineral belts are part of the ministry's plan to offer more than 50,000 square kilometers of mining sites and mineral belts by 2025, which was announced during the latest edition of the International Mining Conference. The goal is to increase spending on exploration in the Kingdom and achieve optimal utilization of mineral resources valued at more than 9.4 trillion riyals.
The locations of the offered mineral belts are in the Riyadh and Medina regions, including the Al-Nuqra belt and the Al-Sukhaybirah (Al-Safra) belt in the Medina region, and the Al-Duwaihi (Nabita) belt in the Riyadh region. They include a variety of base and precious metals, including gold, copper, silver, zinc, and nickel.
The mining competitions go through three main stages, starting with the pre-qualification stage, followed by the launch of the guidelines and the inauguration of the mining competition platform, and the stage of selecting sites on the electronic competition platform, followed by the stage of awarding sites to the winning companies.
During the upcoming phase, the qualified companies competing for exploration licenses in the three mineral belts must select available sites from these belts through the digital "Mining" platform, based on precise criteria that ensure the highest levels of transparency and equal opportunities among investors. The winners are expected to be announced during the third quarter of 2025.
The ministry confirmed that this new round of mining competitions demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing the mining sector as a fundamental pillar for economic diversification and attracting international investments. The wide participation of local and international companies reflects the private sector's eagerness to seize promising investment opportunities in the mining sector.
