العنقري يرأس وفد المملكة في اجتماع مجموعة المشاركة للأجهزة العليا للرقابة المالية بمجموعة العشرين

Dr. Hussam bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Anqari, head of the General Auditing Bureau, headed the Kingdom's delegation participating in the Engagement Group meeting of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI20) of the G20 member countries, which commenced today in Johannesburg, South Africa, with the participation of heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions from the member countries of the group.

During the meeting, the role of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the Engagement Group (SAI20) was reviewed and discussed concerning the two main topics of the G20 summit: enhancing infrastructure for sustainable economic development and the sustainable development of skills and workforce. Additionally, the meeting explored areas of joint cooperation among the member institutions in the SAI20 and the G20 governments.

In his speech during the meeting, Dr. Hussam Al-Anqari emphasized that the Supreme Audit Institutions are a key partner in supporting national development efforts and enhancing transparency and accountability in the public sector. He pointed out that the core topics of the G20 this year represent urgent priorities for the member countries to support their efforts towards inclusive growth and are a fundamental pillar in the national development strategy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Anqari noted that this summit is an important opportunity for the heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions to align on global priorities and collaborate in developing strategies and visions to enhance public sector governance and strengthen their role in promoting transparency and accountability in public financial management.

It is worth mentioning that this meeting is part of the G20 meetings aimed at enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences and best practices among Supreme Audit Institutions in responding to global issues.
