أكد وزير الاقتصاد الإسباني كارلوس كويربو، أن بلاده تتطلع للتعاون مع السعودية في قطاع الطاقة والبنية التحتية في السعودية، مشيراً إلى أن هناك رغبة للشركات الإسبانية في المشاركة بتنفيذ رؤية المملكة 2030.
وقال الوزير في مقابلة مع «العربية»: «السعودية تعد شريكاً تجارياً أساسياً، معرباً عن تطلعه لتنمية العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية بين البلدين».
وأشار الوزير إلى النمو المستمر في عدد الشركات الإسبانية العاملة في السعودية، لافتاً إلى توقيع اتفاقيات لتعزيز التعاون في مختلف المجالات.
وأوضح أنه توجد رؤية مشتركة بين البلدين لمساعدة الدول الفقيرة، معربا عن شعوره بالراحة في الرياض وامتنانه للشعب السعودي.
يذكر أنه تنطلق غداً فعاليات ملتقى الأعمال السعودي- الإسباني، الذي ينظمه اتحاد الغرف السعودية بالتعاون مع وزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، ووزارة الاستثمار، بمشاركة وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل الإبراهيم، ووزير الاقتصاد والتجارة والأعمال الإسباني كارلوس كويربو.
وينعقد الملتقى بمدينة الرياض، بالتزامن مع أعمال اللجنة السعودية-الإسبانية المشتركة بمشاركة أكثر من 300 شركة سعودية وإسبانية، تمثل مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية، بجانب ممثلي بعض الهيئات والجهات الحكومية والخاصة بالبلدين.
ويهدف ملتقى الأعمال لتعزيز مشاركة القطاع الخاص، ورعاية شراكات جديدة، واستعراض الفرص الاستثمارية، مع التركيز على قطاعات إستراتيجية مثل: الخدمات اللوجستية، والبناء، والغذاء، والرياضة، والسياحة، إلى جانب جلسات وورش عمل قطاعية متخصصة، تسلط الضوء على بيئة وفرص الاستثمارات في البلدين، في القطاعات الاقتصادية الحيوية، والحوافز، والتسهيلات المقدمة للمستثمرين من الجانبين.
ويصل حجم التبادل التجاري بين المملكة وإسبانيا في نهاية عام 2024م ما قيمته 22,9 مليار ريال، بصادرات سعودية بلغت 12,4 مليار ريال، فيما بلغت وارداتها من إسبانيا 10,5 مليار ريال.

The Spanish Minister of Economy, Carlos Cuervo, confirmed that his country is looking forward to cooperating with Saudi Arabia in the energy and infrastructure sectors, pointing out that there is a desire among Spanish companies to participate in implementing the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
In an interview with "Al Arabiya," the minister said: "Saudi Arabia is a key trading partner," expressing his aspiration to develop trade and investment relations between the two countries."
The minister noted the continuous growth in the number of Spanish companies operating in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the signing of agreements to enhance cooperation in various fields.
He explained that there is a shared vision between the two countries to assist poor nations, expressing his comfort in Riyadh and gratitude to the Saudi people.
It is worth mentioning that the Saudi-Spanish Business Forum will kick off tomorrow, organized by the Saudi Chambers Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the Ministry of Investment, with the participation of the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, and the Spanish Minister of Economy, Trade, and Business, Carlos Cuervo.
The forum will be held in Riyadh, coinciding with the activities of the Saudi-Spanish Joint Committee, with the participation of more than 300 Saudi and Spanish companies representing various economic and investment sectors, alongside representatives from some governmental and private entities from both countries.
The Business Forum aims to enhance the participation of the private sector, foster new partnerships, and showcase investment opportunities, focusing on strategic sectors such as logistics, construction, food, sports, and tourism, along with specialized sectoral sessions and workshops that highlight the investment environment and opportunities in both countries, in vital economic sectors, and the incentives and facilities offered to investors from both sides.
The volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Spain is expected to reach 22.9 billion riyals by the end of 2024, with Saudi exports amounting to 12.4 billion riyals, while imports from Spain reached 10.5 billion riyals.
