تحوّل حفل زفاف في محافظة الجيزة المصرية إلى حالة من القلق والاستنفار، بعدما نُقل أكثر من 50 شخصًا إلى المستشفى إثر ظهور أعراض يُشتبه في ارتباطها بتسمم غذائي، عقب تناول الترمس الذي قُدّم للضيوف خلال الحفل.
وبدأت الواقعة عندما اشتكى عدد من المدعوين من آلام حادة في البطن، مصحوبة بالقيء والإعياء الشديد، ما استدعى نقل المصابين إلى أحد المستشفيات القريبة لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة.
وخضع المصابون لفحوصات طبية لتقييم حالتهم الصحية، فيما وضعهم الأطباء تحت الملاحظة لمتابعة تطورات الأعراض وتقديم العلاج المناسب. ونُقل عن مصدر طبي أن الحالات لم تكن مستقرة وقت متابعة الواقعة، دون الكشف عن تفاصيل إضافية بشأن درجة خطورة الإصابات أو موعد مغادرة المصابين المستشفى.
وأثارت الحادثة قلقًا بين أهالي القرية، وسط تساؤلات حول سلامة الأطعمة المقدمة خلال المناسبة. وفي إطار التحقيق في ملابسات الواقعة، يجري فحص عينات من الترمس الذي تناوله المدعوون، للتحقق من احتمال تلوثه أو تلفه، وتحديد ما إذا كان وراء ظهور أعراض التسمم.
ولا تزال النتائج النهائية للفحوصات غير معلنة، فيما يُنتظر أن تكشف التحاليل السبب الفعلي للحادثة، وما إذا كانت الإصابات ناجمة عن طريقة إعداد الترمس أو تخزينه قبل تقديمه للضيوف.
A wedding ceremony in Egypt's Giza Governorate turned into a state of anxiety and alertness, after more than 50 people were hospitalized due to symptoms suspected to be related to food poisoning, following the consumption of lupin beans served to guests during the event.
The incident began when several attendees complained of severe abdominal pain, accompanied by vomiting and extreme fatigue, which necessitated transporting the affected individuals to a nearby hospital for necessary medical care.
The injured underwent medical examinations to assess their health condition, while doctors placed them under observation to monitor the progression of symptoms and provide appropriate treatment. A medical source reported that the cases were not stable at the time of monitoring the incident, without disclosing additional details regarding the severity of the injuries or when the patients would be discharged from the hospital.
The incident raised concerns among the village residents, amid questions regarding the safety of the food served during the occasion. As part of the investigation into the circumstances of the incident, samples of the lupin beans consumed by the guests are being examined to verify the possibility of contamination or spoilage, and to determine whether they were behind the onset of the poisoning symptoms.
The final results of the examinations have not yet been announced, while the analyses are expected to reveal the actual cause of the incident, and whether the injuries resulted from the preparation method of the lupin beans or their storage before being served to the guests.
