The Russian government has extended the ban on the export of diesel fuel, marine fuel, and gas oils from direct producers for an additional 3 months, until January 31, 2027, in a move aimed at maintaining stability in the local fuel market and ensuring the availability of supplies.
The Russian Cabinet announced today (Saturday) the signing of a decree to continue the restrictions on fuel exports until the end of January, coinciding with a government move to grant specific exemptions to some suppliers during November.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak revealed that Moscow intends to allow the export of about 2.15 million tons of diesel in November, compared to approximately 510,000 tons in October, an increase of over 321%, through exemptions granted to suppliers who provide fuel to global markets.
Novak explained, according to the Russian news agency "Interfax," that the government is working to identify the suppliers included in the exemptions, allowing for the continued flow of fuel to foreign markets while maintaining stability in local supplies.
