كشف التقرير الأسبوعي الصادر عن البنك المركزي السعودي «ساما» أن مبيعات نقاط البيع بالسعودية بلغت 3.78 مليار دولار (14.19 مليار ريال) خلال الأسبوع الماضي، مقابل 3.89 مليار دولار (14.60 مليار ريال) في الأسبوع المنتهي يوم 8 أغسطس 2026، فيما شهد الإنفاق على قطاع التعليم قفزة بأكثر من 62.7% مع قرب بداية العام الدراسي الجديد.
ووفقاً للتقرير، انخفض عدد عمليات نقاط البيع في الأسبوع الماضي بنحو 1.5%، ليبلغ 249.68 مليون عملية، مقابل 253.42 مليون عملية في الأسبوع السابق.
«الأطعمة والمشروبات» يتصدر
وتصدر قطاع الأطعمة والمشروبات بنود الإنفاق بنقاط البيع في المملكة الأسبوع الماضي بواقع 586.7 مليون دولار (2.20 مليار ريال) عبر تنفيذ 58.09 مليون عملية، يليه قطاع المطاعم والمقاهي بإنفاق بلغ 485.3 مليون دولار (1.82 مليار ريال) من خلال 60.24 مليون عملية تم تنفيذها.
وبلغ إنفاق المستهلكين عبر قطاع الملبوسات والإكسسوارات في الأسبوع الماضي 330.67 مليون دولار (1.24 مليار ريال) عبر تنفيذ 10.53 مليون عملية، يليه قطاع النقل بعمليات نقاط بيع بلغت قيمتها 282.67 مليون دولار (1.06 مليار ريال) عبر تنفيذ 7.13 مليون عملية.
وشهد قطاع محطات الوقود تنفيذ 18.08 مليون عملية نقاط بيع بقيمة 272 مليون دولار (1.02 مليار ريال) في الأسبوع الماضي، وفي قطاع الصحة تم تنفيذ 9.8 مليون عملية بقيمة 225.6 مليون دولار (846.03 مليون ريال).
The weekly report issued by the Saudi Central Bank "SAMA" revealed that point of sale (POS) sales in Saudi Arabia reached $3.78 billion (14.19 billion riyals) during the past week, compared to $3.89 billion (14.60 billion riyals) in the week ending August 8, 2026, while spending in the education sector saw a jump of more than 62.7% as the new school year approaches.
According to the report, the number of POS transactions decreased by about 1.5% last week, reaching 249.68 million transactions, compared to 253.42 million transactions in the previous week.
"Food and Beverages" Leads
The food and beverages sector topped the spending categories at POS in the Kingdom last week, amounting to $586.7 million (2.20 billion riyals) through 58.09 million transactions, followed by the restaurant and café sector with spending of $485.3 million (1.82 billion riyals) through 60.24 million transactions executed.
Consumer spending in the clothing and accessories sector last week reached $330.67 million (1.24 billion riyals) through 10.53 million transactions, followed by the transportation sector with POS transactions valued at $282.67 million (1.06 billion riyals) through 7.13 million transactions.
The fuel stations sector witnessed 18.08 million POS transactions worth $272 million (1.02 billion riyals) last week, while in the health sector, 9.8 million transactions were executed with a value of $225.6 million (846.03 million riyals).
