قفزت أسعار النفط، اليوم، في ظل إخفاق الولايات المتحدة وإيران في التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن مقترح سلام صاغته واشنطن، بينما ظل مضيق هرمز مغلقاً إلى حد كبير، مما أدى إلى استمرار قلة إمدادات الطاقة العالمية.
وارتفعت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت 3.33 دولار أو 3.29% لتصل إلى 104.6 دولار، مواصلة مكاسبها التي بلغت 1.23% يوم الجمعة..
وبلغ سعر خام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأمريكي 98.57 دولار للبرميل، بارتفاع قدره 3.15 دولار أو 3.30% بعد أن استقر على ارتفاع بنسبة 0.64% في الجلسة السابقة..
مقترح غير مقبول
وتبددت الآمال في نهاية وشيكة للصراع بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران الذي استمر 10 أسابيع، والذي من شأنه أن يسمح بمرور النفط عبر مضيق هرمز، بعد أن وصف الرئيس دونالد ترامب ،أمس، الرد الإيراني على مقترح الولايات المتحدة بإجراء محادثات سلام بأنه «غير مقبول».
تأرجح الأسعار
من جهتها، قالت كبيرة محللي السوق بإحدى الشركات المتخصصة بريانكا ساشديفا: «يستمر التداول في سوق النفط كآلة لإنتاج العناوين الجيوسياسية، إذ تتأرجح الأسعار بشكل حاد بناء على كل تعليق أو رفض أو تحذير صادر عن واشنطن وطهران».
ومن المقرر أن يصل ترمب إلى بكين يوم الأربعاء، وقال مسؤولون أمريكيون إنه من المتوقع أن يناقش قضية إيران من بين قضايا أخرى مع الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ.

Unacceptable Proposal
Hopes for an imminent end to the 10-week conflict between the United States and Iran, which would allow oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, were dashed after President Donald Trump described Iran's response to the U.S. proposal for peace talks as "unacceptable" yesterday.

Trump is scheduled to arrive in Beijing on Wednesday, and U.S. officials have stated that he is expected to discuss the Iran issue among other topics with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
