أعلنت الحكومة التايلندية أنها ستزيد مخصصات السلع الأساسية بدءاً من الاثنين القادم، في إطار إجراءات تهدف إلى التخفيف من التداعيات الاقتصادية الناجمة عن حرب إيران والتي تؤثر بشكل خاص على المزارعين وأصحاب الأعمال الصغيرة والفئات الضعيفة.
وسيحصل أكثر من 13 مليون تايلندي يحملون بطاقة الاستحقاق الاجتماعي على زيادة في مخصصاتهم الشهرية من 300 بات إلى 400 بات (من 9.31 إلى 12.42 دولار) لتغطية نفقات المعيشة اليومية، بحسب ما أعلنت وزارة المالية خلال مؤتمر صحفي اليوم.
حماية الفئات الضعيفة
وقال وزير المالية إكنيتي نيتيثانبراباس: «إن هذه الإجراءات تهدف إلى حماية الفئات الضعيفة، ومنع امتداد الأزمة إلى قطاعات أخرى». وأضاف أن الحكومة تسعى لاحتواء الأثر الاقتصادي للحرب على مستويات المعيشة، خصوصاً في ظل ارتفاع تكاليف الطاقة والسلع الأساسية.
كما ستستفيد فئات المزارعين وأصحاب الأعمال الصغيرة من قروض ميسرة، إلى جانب الراغبين في شراء السيارات الكهربائية أو تركيب الألواح الشمسية.
وأقرت الحكومة أيضاً تقديم دعم لقطاع النقل، وذلك قبيل احتفالات رأس السنة التايلندية أو مهرجان «سونغكران».
وقال وزير المالية: «إن هذا التحدي سيكون طويل الأمد، لذلك نحن لا نطبق فقط إجراءات قصيرة الأجل، بل نعمل أيضاً على تهيئة المواطنين ورواد الأعمال للتكيف مع ارتفاع محتمل في تكاليف الطاقة والمنتجات».
The Thai government has announced that it will increase allocations for essential goods starting next Monday, as part of measures aimed at alleviating the economic repercussions of the Iran war, which particularly affects farmers, small business owners, and vulnerable groups.
More than 13 million Thais holding social welfare cards will receive an increase in their monthly allocations from 300 baht to 400 baht (from $9.31 to $12.42) to cover daily living expenses, according to the Ministry of Finance during a press conference today.
Protecting Vulnerable Groups
Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith stated, "These measures aim to protect vulnerable groups and prevent the crisis from extending to other sectors." He added that the government is seeking to contain the economic impact of the war on living standards, especially amid rising energy and essential goods costs.
Farmers and small business owners will also benefit from low-interest loans, along with those looking to purchase electric vehicles or install solar panels.
The government has also approved support for the transportation sector, just ahead of the Thai New Year celebrations or the "Songkran" festival.
The Finance Minister said, "This challenge will be long-term, so we are not only implementing short-term measures, but we are also working to prepare citizens and entrepreneurs to adapt to a potential rise in energy and product costs."
