تقترح وكالة الطاقة الدولية تنفيذ أكبر عملية سحب من احتياطيات النفط الطارئة في تاريخها، في خطوة تهدف إلى كبح جماح أسعار الطاقة المتصاعدة جراء الحرب الدائرة في الشرق الأوسط، بحسب تقرير حديث.
ووفقًا لما نقلته «بلومبيرغ» عن مصادر على دراية بالأمر (الأربعاء)، اقترحت الوكالة ضخ كميات ضخمة تراوح ما بين 300 و400 مليون برميل في الأسواق العالمية، وهو ما يمثل ضعف حجم التدخل الذي تم عقب الغزو الروسي لأوكرانيا في 2022، لضمان استقرار الإمدادات العالمية.
ومن المقرر أن يناقش قادة دول مجموعة السبع هذا المقترح خلال اجتماعهم المرتقب اليوم، بهدف تنسيق الجهود الدولية لتخفيف الضغوط التضخمية، وأكد وزير المالية الفرنسي رولان ليسكيور، أن جميع الخيارات مطروحة على الطاولة لضمان استقرار السوق.
