قفز مقياس رئيسي للتقلبات في سوق الأسهم بالولايات المتحدة بشكل حاد خلال تعاملات اليوم، ليرتفع بنحو 80% منذ بداية العام الحالي، إذ أثرت التوترات الجيوسياسية عالمياً سلباً على ثقة المستثمرين وزادت من حالة عدم اليقين في الأسواق المالية.
وصعد مؤشر «فيكس» الشهير باسم «مؤشر الخوف في وول ستريت» بنسبة 23.4% إلى 26.46 نقطة في تمام الساعة 1:29 مساء بتوقيت مكة المكرمة، بعد أن لامس 26.67 نقطة، وهو أعلى مستوى منذ 21 نوفمبر الماضي.
تقلبات مرتفعة
وتتجاوز القراءة الحالية لمؤشر التقلبات مستويات الاستقرار؛ فبينما تشير القراءات الأدنى من مستوى 20 نقطة إلى بيئة استثمارية مستقرة نسبياً في سوق الأوراق المالية، فإن تخطي هذا الحاجز يعكس دخول الأسواق مرحلة من التقلبات المرتفعة.
A key gauge of volatility in the U.S. stock market jumped sharply during today's trading, rising by about 80% since the beginning of the current year, as global geopolitical tensions negatively impacted investor confidence and increased uncertainty in financial markets.
The famous "VIX" index, known as the "fear index on Wall Street," rose by 23.4% to 26.46 points at 1:29 PM Mecca time, after touching 26.67 points, the highest level since November 21 of last year.
High Volatility
The current reading of the volatility index exceeds stability levels; while readings below 20 points indicate a relatively stable investment environment in the stock market, surpassing this threshold reflects the markets entering a phase of high volatility.
