أكدت سفيرة خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الأميرة ريما بنت بندر بن سلطان بن عبدالعزيز أن استمرار تنافسية الاقتصادات مستقبلاً يتطلب إعطاء أولوية للاستثمار في رأس المال البشري.
وقالت خلال مشاركتها في جلسة حوارية ضمن مبادرة جناح Saudi House خلال أعمال الاجتماع السنوي للمنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي 2026 بعنوان «من الإصلاح إلى التنفيذ.. تطبيق التغيير واسع النطاق»: «إن رأس المال البشري اليوم هو المحرك الرئيس لبناء اقتصاد حديث قادر على المنافسة».
وأكدت أن تمكين الأفراد ومنحهم المساحة للقيادة يسهمان في تحويل الطاقات إلى إنجازات ملموسة، وأن توظيف الكفاءات المناسبة في الأماكن المناسبة وفي التوقيت المناسب يؤدي إلى نتائج نوعية، مبينة أن المملكة تمتلك المقومات البشرية، والبيئة الداعمة، والتوقيت الملائم لتحقيق ذلك.
الخطيب: تحقيق نمو مستمر في إنفاق السياح عاماً بعد عام
من جهته، أوضح وزير السياحة أحمد الخطيب أن قطاع السفر والسياحة كان من بين القطاعات ذات الأولوية منذ إطلاق رؤية المملكة 2030، لدوره في توفير الوظائف وتعزيز مرونة الاقتصاد وتنويع مصادر الدخل، مشيراً إلى أن المملكة استهدفت استقبال 100 مليون سائح سنوياً بحلول العام 2030، ونجحت في تحقيق هذا الهدف قبل الموعد بسبع سنوات، مع مواصلة تجاوز المستهدف سنوياً منذ عام 2023، وتحقيق نمو مستمر في إنفاق السياح عاماً بعد عام.
الفالح: الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر ارتفع إلى 5 أضعاف
بدوره، أكد وزير الاستثمار المهندس خالد الفالح أن المملكة تمكنت من بناء بيئة استثمارية متوازنة تتيح الوصول إلى الفرص مع إدارة المخاطر بكفاءة، لافتاً إلى أن حجم الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر ارتفع إلى 5 أضعاف مقارنة بما كان عليه قبل إطلاق رؤية المملكة 2030، وشهد الاستثمار المحلي نمواً ملحوظاً تضاعف خلال الفترة ذاتها، ووصلت المملكة إلى مستويات متقدمة تضاهي كبرى الاقتصادات العالمية في تكوين رأس المال نسبة من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي.
الخريّف: المملكة تتمتع بشريحة شبابية واسعة
من جانبه، استعرض وزير المالية محمد الجدعان أثر رؤية المملكة 2030 في إرساء إطار موثوق للتحول الوطني، مؤكداً أهمية وضوح الرؤية والطموح، والاستمرار في التنفيذ، وإبراز النتائج بما يعزز ثقة المجتمع بمسار التحول.
وأوضح وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر الخريّف أن المملكة تتمتع بميزة تنافسية تتمثل في شريحة شبابية واسعة، إلى جانب ما تمتلكه من موارد طبيعية متنوعة، مشيراً إلى أن الشباب يمثلون المورد الأهم عالمياً في المرحلة الراهنة، وقدرة الدول على تحويل مواردها إلى قيمة مضافة تعتمد بشكل رئيس على الاستثمار في هذا المورد.
الإبراهيم: القطاع الخاص يؤدي دوراً أكبر مما كان عليه
بدوره، قال وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط فيصل الإبراهيم: «بينما نمضي قدماً لنكون أكثر مرونة واستدامة، فإن القطاع الخاص يؤدي دوراً أكبر مما كان عليه يشاركنا فيه قيادة المسار الراهن، كما أن الابتكار والبحث والتطوير بات جزءاً محورياً من نشاطنا الاقتصادي، إلى جانب جميع الجهود المميزة المبذولة لتعزيز التواصل والاندماج مع مختلف الأسواق العالمية».
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, confirmed that maintaining the competitiveness of economies in the future requires prioritizing investment in human capital.
She stated during her participation in a panel discussion as part of the Saudi House initiative during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2026 titled "From Reform to Implementation: Applying Large-Scale Change": "Human capital today is the main driver for building a modern economy capable of competing."
She emphasized that empowering individuals and giving them the space to lead contributes to transforming energies into tangible achievements, and that employing the right competencies in the right places and at the right time leads to qualitative results, noting that the Kingdom possesses the human resources, the supportive environment, and the appropriate timing to achieve this.
Al-Khateeb: Achieving Continuous Growth in Tourist Spending Year After Year
For his part, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb explained that the travel and tourism sector has been among the priority sectors since the launch of Vision 2030, due to its role in providing jobs, enhancing economic resilience, and diversifying income sources. He pointed out that the Kingdom aimed to welcome 100 million tourists annually by 2030 and succeeded in achieving this goal seven years ahead of schedule, continuing to exceed the target annually since 2023, and achieving continuous growth in tourist spending year after year.
Al-Falih: Foreign Direct Investment Increased Fivefold
For his part, Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih confirmed that the Kingdom has managed to build a balanced investment environment that allows access to opportunities while efficiently managing risks, noting that the volume of foreign direct investment has increased fivefold compared to what it was before the launch of Vision 2030. Local investment has also seen significant growth, doubling during the same period, and the Kingdom has reached advanced levels comparable to the largest global economies in capital formation as a percentage of GDP.
Al-Khuraif: The Kingdom Has a Large Youth Segment
For his part, Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan reviewed the impact of Vision 2030 in establishing a reliable framework for national transformation, emphasizing the importance of clarity in vision and ambition, continuing implementation, and highlighting results to enhance community trust in the transformation path.
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khuraif explained that the Kingdom has a competitive advantage represented by a large youth segment, in addition to its diverse natural resources, pointing out that youth represent the most important resource globally at this stage, and the ability of countries to transform their resources into added value largely depends on investing in this resource.
Al-Ibrahim: The Private Sector Plays a Larger Role Than Before
For his part, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim said: "As we move forward to become more resilient and sustainable, the private sector plays a larger role than before, sharing with us in leading the current path. Additionally, innovation, research, and development have become a pivotal part of our economic activity, alongside all the outstanding efforts made to enhance communication and integration with various global markets."
