التقى الرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية سلطان بن عبدالرحمن المرشد، اليوم في سورية، وزير الطاقة المهندس محمد البشير، ووزير الطوارئ وإدارة الكوارث رائد الصالح، ووزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات عبدالسلام هيكل، بحضور سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى سورية الدكتور فيصل المجفل.
وجرت خلال اللقاءات، مناقشة الفرص الحيوية في التعاون التنموي بين الجانبين، سعياً لدعم مختلف القطاعات الإنمائية في سورية، في إطار نشاط الصندوق التنموي، بما يسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة ودعم المبادرات الإنمائية في سورية.
وتأتي هذه الزيارة تأكيداً على أهمية التعاون التنموي بين الجانبين، إذ قدّم الصندوق السعودي للتنمية إسهامات تنموية في أكثر من 100 دولة نامية حول العالم منذ تأسيسه في 1974، من خلال دعم وتمويل أكثر من 800 مشروع وبرنامج إنمائي بمختلف القطاعات، بقيمة تتجاوز 22 مليار دولار، للإسهام في تحقيق أثر تنموي مستدام في الدول المستفيدة، مما يعزز فرصها في النمو الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.
The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid, met today in Syria with the Minister of Energy, Engineer Mohammed Al-Bashir, the Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed Al-Saleh, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haikal, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Syria, Dr. Faisal Al-Majfal.
During the meetings, vital opportunities for developmental cooperation between the two sides were discussed, in an effort to support various developmental sectors in Syria, within the framework of the developmental fund's activities, contributing to achieving sustainable development goals and supporting developmental initiatives in Syria.
This visit reaffirms the importance of developmental cooperation between the two sides, as the Saudi Fund for Development has made developmental contributions in more than 100 developing countries around the world since its establishment in 1974, by supporting and financing over 800 developmental projects and programs across various sectors, with a value exceeding 22 billion dollars, to contribute to achieving a sustainable developmental impact in the beneficiary countries, thereby enhancing their opportunities for economic and social growth.
