أعلن حاكم مصرف سورية المركزي عبدالقادر الحصرية أنه سيكون هناك سهولة ومرونة في تبديل العملة الوطنية الجديدة المتمثلة بالليرة السورية، حيث سيتم الاستبدال عبر 66 شركة وألف منفذ مخصص لذلك.
وقال الحصرية:«إن الفئات الجديدة من العملة السورية ستبدأ بست فئات هي: 5، 10، 25، 50، 100، و500 ليرة، بحيث تعادل الليرة الجديدة مئة ليرة قديمة، فيما تعادل الـ 500 ليرة جديدة 50 ألف ليرة قديمة».
وأشار إلى أن ذلك يسهم في تسهيل حمل النقود وتبقى الكتلة النقدية دون إضافات.
وأضاف أن استبدال العملة لن يؤثر على قيمتها، كون التغيير هو تغيير في القيمة الاسمية، فالقيمة هي ذاتها ولن يكون للاستبدال آثار على قيمتها مباشرة، موضحاً أن المصرف المركزي السوري سيعيد فتح فرعه في إدلب أسوة بباقي المحافظات.
مزايا حديثة
وأكد الحصرية أن العملة الجديدة تحظى بمزايا أمنية حديثة، إضافة إلى ميزات خاصة تمكن ضعيفي البصر والمكفوفين من استخدامها، موضحاً أن حذف الأصفار لن يؤثر على المهام المشتركة لليرة الجديدة، داعياً إلى التعاون من قبل الجميع للمحافظة على قيمة الليرة.
ونوه حاكم المصرف المركزي بقوله:«إن الصور المتداولة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حول العملة الجديدة غير صحيحة، مشدداً على أن المصرف المركزي هو الوحيد المخول بالإعلان عن العملة الجديدة وفئاتها المختلفة، والتي سيكشف عنها بداية من الأسبوع الحالي».
آلية التبديل
ودعا حصرية الجميع للتعاون للحفاظ على قيمة العملة الوطنية للبلاد، مشيراً إلى أن الشرح والتوضيح اللاحق حول آلية التبديل يسهم في إزالة أي غموض أو ثغرات في ذلك، كما أن المرسوم الذي قضى باستبدال الليرة القديمة بليرة جديدة لم يحدد مدة للتبديل، بل فوض المصرف المركزي بذلك حتى تكون عملية الاستبدال سلسة ومنتظمة.
وكان حاكم مصرف سورية المركزي أعلن أن الأول من يناير 2026، موعد إطلاق العملة السورية الجديدة وبدء عملية استبدال العملة القديمة.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdul Qadir Al-Hosriya, announced that there will be ease and flexibility in exchanging the new national currency represented by the Syrian pound, as the exchange will be conducted through 66 companies and a thousand designated outlets for this purpose.
Al-Hosriya stated: "The new denominations of the Syrian currency will start with six categories: 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 500 pounds, where the new pound is equivalent to one hundred old pounds, while the 500 new pounds are equivalent to 50,000 old pounds."
He pointed out that this contributes to facilitating the carrying of cash and keeps the money supply unchanged.
He added that the currency exchange will not affect its value, as the change is a change in nominal value; the value remains the same, and the exchange will not have direct effects on its value, clarifying that the Central Bank of Syria will reopen its branch in Idlib, similar to other provinces.
Modern Features
Al-Hosriya confirmed that the new currency has modern security features, in addition to special features that enable the visually impaired and blind to use it, explaining that the removal of zeros will not affect the common tasks of the new pound, calling for cooperation from everyone to maintain the value of the pound.
The Governor of the Central Bank noted: "The images circulated on social media regarding the new currency are incorrect, emphasizing that the Central Bank is the only authority authorized to announce the new currency and its various denominations, which will be revealed starting this week."
Exchange Mechanism
Al-Hosriya called on everyone to cooperate to maintain the value of the national currency of the country, pointing out that subsequent explanations and clarifications regarding the exchange mechanism will help remove any ambiguity or gaps in that regard. He also mentioned that the decree that mandated the exchange of the old pound for the new pound did not specify a duration for the exchange but entrusted the Central Bank with that so that the exchange process would be smooth and organized.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria announced that January 1, 2026, is the date for the launch of the new Syrian currency and the start of the exchange of the old currency.
