كشف وزير الاقتصاد والتخطيط السعودي فيصل الإبراهيم أن المملكة تستهدف رفع مساهمة الأنشطة غير النفطية إلى نحو 69% في المرحلة القادمة.
وأضاف الوزير خلال جلسة حوارية حول الاستقرار الاقتصادي الكلي في مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار بنسخته التاسعة «FII9» في الرياض: «لا نحتفل بما تحقق بل نعمل على خطط تمتد لخمس سنوات لتحقيق نتائج أفضل».
وذكر الإبراهيم أن النمو القادم لن يكون بتقليل الإنفاق بل بالإنفاق الذكي، مضيفا: «نطلق مبادرات لدعم رواد الأعمال ليس فقط لزيادة الناتج المحلي بل لتحسين جودة النمو».
وكشف الوزير السعي لتوفير وظائف عالية المستوى تسهم في تحسين حياة السعوديين.
وأشار إلى أن التنويع الاقتصادي يساعد على استقطاب الكفاءات العالمية وتوسيع فرص العمل محليًا.
The Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, revealed that the Kingdom aims to raise the contribution of non-oil activities to about 69% in the upcoming phase.
During a panel discussion on macroeconomic stability at the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) conference in Riyadh, the minister added: "We do not celebrate what has been achieved, but we are working on plans that extend over five years to achieve better results."
Al-Ibrahim mentioned that the upcoming growth will not come from reducing spending but from smart spending, adding: "We are launching initiatives to support entrepreneurs not only to increase GDP but to improve the quality of growth."
The minister revealed efforts to provide high-level jobs that contribute to improving the lives of Saudis.
He pointed out that economic diversification helps attract global talents and expand job opportunities locally.
