عمّقت الأسهم الأمريكية خسائرها خلال تعاملات اليوم (الأربعاء)، مع تزايد مخاوف تفاقم التوترات التجارية بين الولايات المتحدة والصين، إلى جانب متابعة المستثمرين موسم نتائج أعمال الشركات.
وتراجع مؤشر «داو جونز» الصناعي بنسبة 68% أو ما يعادل 318 نقطة إلى 46606 نقاط في تمام الـ8:35 مساءً بتوقيت مكة المكرمة، بعد أن أنهى جلسة الثلاثاء عند مستوى قياسي.
وانخفض مؤشر «إس آند بي 500» الأوسع نطاقاً بنسبة 0.93% أو 62 نقطة إلى 6672 نقطة، وكذلك مؤشر «ناسداك المركب» بنسبة 1.61% أو 370 نقطة إلى 22583 نقطة.
تصدير المنتجات التكنولوجية
جاء ذلك بعدما أفادت مواقع إخبارية، نقلاً عن مصادر مطلعة، بأن الولايات المتحدة تدرس فرض قيود على تصدير المنتجات التكنولوجية التي تحتوي على أو استُخدم في إنتاجها برمجيات أمريكية.
وتنذر هذه الخطوة حال اتخاذها بتصعيد الحرب التجارية بين واشنطن وبكين مجدداً، بعد أن هدأت أخيراً، عقب إبداء الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تفاؤله بشأن نتائج جولة مفاوضات مرتقبة بين البلدين.
U.S. stocks deepened their losses during today's (Wednesday) trading, amid growing fears of escalating trade tensions between the United States and China, alongside investors monitoring the corporate earnings season.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.68% or 318 points to 46,606 points at 8:35 PM Mecca time, after closing at a record level on Tuesday.
The broader S&P 500 index declined by 0.93% or 62 points to 6,672 points, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped by 1.61% or 370 points to 22,583 points.
Exporting Technological Products
This comes after news sites reported, citing informed sources, that the United States is considering imposing restrictions on the export of technological products that contain or were produced using American software.
This step, if taken, warns of a resurgence in the trade war between Washington and Beijing, which had recently cooled down after U.S. President Donald Trump expressed optimism about the results of an upcoming round of negotiations between the two countries.
