أعلنت وزارة التجارة اليوم (الاثنين)، عن ضبط متجر إلكتروني متخصص في بيع العود والعطور بعد ترويجه إعلاناً مضللاً تضمن صورة سيارة فاخرة وعبارات تحفيزية توهم المتسوقين بأن شراء مجموعة من المنتجات (PACKAGE) يخولهم للفوز بالسيارة.
إزالة الإعلان وغرامة مالية
وأوضحت الوزارة أنها ألزمت المتجر بإزالة الإعلان المخالف، وأحالت مالكه إلى لجنة النظر في مخالفات نظام التجارة الإلكترونية، التي بدورها أصدرت بحقه غرامة مالية، نظير مخالفته أحكام النظام ولائحته التنفيذية.
وشددت «التجارة» على ضرورة التزام المتاجر الإلكترونية بضوابط الإعلان، وعدم خداع المستهلكين أو إيهامهم بعروض غير حقيقية، مشيرة إلى أن المخالفين يواجهون عقوبات تصل إلى غرامة مليون ريال، إضافة إلى الحجب أو الإغلاق ومنعهم من مزاولة النشاط.
The Ministry of Commerce announced today (Monday) the seizure of an online store specialized in selling oud and perfumes after it promoted a misleading advertisement that included a picture of a luxury car and motivational phrases misleading shoppers into believing that purchasing a package of products would qualify them to win the car.
Removal of the Advertisement and Financial Penalty
The ministry clarified that it required the store to remove the violating advertisement and referred its owner to the committee for reviewing violations of the e-commerce system, which in turn issued a financial penalty against him for violating the provisions of the system and its executive regulations.
The Ministry of Commerce emphasized the necessity for online stores to adhere to advertising regulations and not to deceive or mislead consumers with false offers, noting that violators face penalties of up to one million riyals, in addition to suspension or closure and being prohibited from conducting business.
