تراجع الدولار مقابل العملات الرئيسية في تعاملات الثلاثاء بعدما قرر الرئيس الأمريكي «دونالد ترمب» إقالة عضوة مجلس محافظي الاحتياطي الفيدرالي «ليزا كوك»، مما عزز المخاوف بشأن استقلالية البنك المركزي.
وأوضح «ترمب» في منشور عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال» ما وصفها بأنها أسباب كافية تدعو لإقالة «كوك» على الفور، والتي تتعلق بتقديمها بيانات غير صحيحة عند حصولها على قروض رهن عقاري.
وتعد تلك الخطوة بمثابة تصعيد لضغوط «ترمب» التي يمارسها على الاحتياطي الفيدرالي ورئيسه «جيروم باول» لعدم خفض الفائدة منذ بداية العام.
وتراجع مؤشر الدولار الذي يقيس أداء العملة الأمريكية مقابل سلة من ست عملات رئيسية بنسبة 0.19% عند 98.24 نقطة، في بداية تداولاته الأسبوعية.
وارتفع كل من اليورو مقابل العملة الأمريكية بنسبة 0.25% عند 1.1647 دولار، والإسترليني 0.22% عند 1.3484 دولار، وتراجع الدولار أمام العملة اليابانية بنسبة 0.18% إلى 147.54 ين.

The dollar fell against major currencies in trading on Tuesday after U.S. President Donald Trump decided to dismiss Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook, which heightened concerns about the independence of the central bank.
Trump explained in a post on his platform Truth Social what he described as sufficient reasons to dismiss Cook immediately, which relate to her providing incorrect information when obtaining mortgage loans.
This move represents an escalation of the pressures Trump is exerting on the Federal Reserve and its chairman Jerome Powell for not lowering interest rates since the beginning of the year.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the U.S. currency against a basket of six major currencies, fell by 0.19% to 98.24 points at the start of its weekly trading.
Both the euro and the British pound rose against the U.S. dollar by 0.25% to $1.1647 and by 0.22% to $1.3484, respectively, while the dollar fell against the Japanese yen by 0.18% to 147.54 yen.
