قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب اليوم (الأحد): «الاتفاق التجاري مع الصين يعتبر أمراً عظيماً، والمحادثات التجارية الأمريكية مع كندا ستتوقف إلى أن يحين الوقت الذي يتخلون فيه عن بعض الضرائب»، وفقاً لوكالات إعلامية.
وقال مسؤول في البيت الأبيض يوم (الخميس) الماضي إن: «الولايات المتحدة توصلت إلى اتفاق مع الصين بشأن كيفية تسريع شحنات المعادن الأرضية النادرة إلى الولايات المتحدة، وسط جهود رامية لإنهاء الحرب التجارية بين أكبر اقتصادين في العالم».
وخلال محادثات تجارية أجريت بين الولايات المتحدة والصين في مايو الماضي في جنيف، التزمت بكين بإزالة التدابير المضادة غير الجمركية المفروضة على الولايات المتحدة منذ الثاني من أبريل، لكن لم يتضح كيف سيتم إلغاء بعض هذه التدابير.

President Donald Trump said today (Sunday): "The trade deal with China is a great thing, and U.S. trade talks with Canada will stop until the time they drop some tariffs," according to media agencies.
A White House official said last Thursday that: "The United States has reached an agreement with China on how to expedite shipments of rare earth metals to the United States, amid efforts to end the trade war between the world's two largest economies."
During trade talks held between the United States and China last May in Geneva, Beijing committed to removing non-tariff barriers imposed on the United States since April 2, but it was not clear how some of these measures would be lifted.
